Of course, we are talking about Sofia Mattson as it has just been reported that the actress is now an official cast member of the Peacock soap Days of Our Lives. She will be taking on a mystery role.
But for a lot of General Hospital fans who were used to seeing Sofia play Sasha in Port Charles, they can’t help but feel devastated over the switch. That’s because they were actually waiting on pins and needles for her to return to General Hospital sooner rather than later. Talk about a huge loss, right?
In fact, some General Hospital fans have gotten downright nasty over the matter, just because they think that Sasha belongs back in Port Charles. There’s just so much going on with Michael Corinthos and seeing how they share their daughter, Daisy, together, you’d think that Sasha was a part of this storyline.

But clearly that’s not the case as it seems like we won’t be seeing Sasha back on the canvas anytime soon. Unless, of course, the producers of General Hospital decide to recast the character with another actress, which would probably make fans feel even more irritated.
So far the producers of General Hospital have not made any comments about the matter, but at this point it’s really doubtful that anything will be said. But then again, Sofia hasn’t said anything on her end, either.
But whether or not this is just a temporary switch from Port Charles to Salem remains to be seen. Either way, there’s no doubt that everyone is going to be turning into Days of Our Lives to find out what will happen next!

For me I will not be tuning in to see what the actress is up to on the other soap. One soap is enough in my life as I do not have time to envision more time dedicated to such programming. I didn’t see the need for Michael/Sasha’s one night stand to result in pregnancy especially if she were leaving GH which I felt would occur when she decided to leave PC. I like the Sasha character, but haven’t be satisfied with her romantic pairings other than Brando. Wish the actress the best in her new role and hope things work out for her, even if it means returning to GH at one time or another.
