The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Liam Drops a Bombshell as Family Tensions Explode

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that fans knew Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) would never withhold what he knew about Eric Forrester (John McCook) from Hope Spencer Logan (Annika Noelle) forever. A matter of weeks was all it took until Liam divulged the truth.

Hope was stunned by the news that Eric is Katie Logan Spencer’s (Heather Tom) lead designer. Of course, Hope saw her eponymous fashion line restored in the latter part of last year after Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) gave the go-ahead.

So, Hope’s position with Forrester Creations and Liam’s with Spencer Publications and its burgeoning fashion house, Logan, made for explosive pillow talk.

Liam Spencer Walked Into A Mess

Liam barged into his father’s office as he had done countless times before. Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) has developed an open-door policy within the last year as part of his evolving transformation from Dollar Bill to a palatable human being worthy of Katie’s love.

Bill and Katie were meeting with Eric, who was showing his electric batch of designs that he sees as leading Logan’s upcoming launch. Liam needed a matter of seconds to put everything together, and his parents didn’t deny the obvious.

However, Liam instantly realized the bad position he’d put himself in. His recent remarriage to Hope means that they are in each other’s aura on an everyday basis. So, keeping that type of information from her was seemingly impossible and has proven to be so.

Eric Forrester Was Insistent On Secrecy

Eric told Bill and Katie from the start that he didn’t want his son, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), or Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), to know what he was doing. They agreed because the element of surprise gave Logan a major strategic advantage.

Viewers recall that Brooke pulled a Liam when she found Eric in the Logan office earlier this year. She brushed it off and didn’t make the connections or receive a confirmation, as Liam did.

But Eric did previously tell Katie and Bill that his place at Logan would eventually have to be known. So, that trio’s pointed conversation with Ridge and Brooke happened sooner than anticipated.

Hope Logan Spencer Jumps Ship?

Hope is angry now, but viewers can rightly wonder if she’ll join Logan as well. Doing so would infuriate her mother, but that would also add to the great soap that this storyline represents on many levels.

Steffy and Hope have reestablished a good working relationship, but there will always be a certain distrust between them. The opportunity to take Hope for the Future out of FC probably isn’t legally possible.

But Hope’s audience might be inclined to follow her if she leaves that legacy company and switches to its upstart rival. She would also be able to work side by side with Liam. Whether that’s something Hope wants remains a worthy conjecture as well.
