The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Cane And Phyllis Flaunt Their Bravado As Victor’s Calculated Response Stuns

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) believes he’s bested Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) thinks something different. In her mind, what they’ve accomplished can’t be undone.
Cane is the more balanced thinker between this unlikely pairing. He sat back, accepted that Arabesque was lost and that his family was gone. Then, a response attack was launched.
Phyllis is mining many old grudges as she hitches her soapy start to the former Aristotle Dumas. She’s convinced that Cane is the present and future king of Genoa City, Wisconsin, with Victor and his family being deposed.
What’s Next In Genoa City, Wisconsin?
Teasers indicate that Victor is plotting Cane’s downfall through deception. The idea of kidnapping Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and the twins is intriguing.
Clearly, that move would be illegal and result in Cane contacting the authorities. But if Victor’s scheme has a buy-in from Lily, then would a crime have occurred?
Khalil’s character is off-screen indefinitely, with viewers knowing that the birth of her second child necessitated Lily leaving GC. So, an extended story, where she is with the twins, fits.
Lily Winters Is Open To Teaching A Lesson
If Lily goes along with Victor’s plan, assuming it’s that and not a real kidnapping plot, many months could play out. Fans could assume that Khalil recorded advanced scenes that would be shown.
Alternatively, Lily and the twins could simply be referenced in dialogue as a supposed kidnapping storyline unfolds. But the issue with that would include Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) actually kidnapping Dominic Winters (Ethan Ray Clark).

Would Y&R’s writing staff have simultaneous kidnapping storylines rolling at the same time?
A better option might be to simply have Victor torment Cane with the thought that he’s taken Lily and the twins hostage. The intent would be to use that pretense as leverage to get Newman Enterprises back.
Victor Newman Won’t Go Down Without A Fight
Viewers don’t know what happened to Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Victor told Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that he took care of the situation, but didn’t elaborate.
The above leaves the daytime door open to Matt being alive in some form of prison similar to the one that he kept Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) in. Hopefully, Howarth’s character isn’t dead because this recast ranks with the best in a long time.
Cane must be dealt with in addition to Victor getting his legacy company back. Phyllis must be punished for the role she energetically played in what’s developed. Yes, this duo reigns currently, but the Moustache was the king of GC and will likely regain that crown by spring at the latest, or at least that’s what longtime fans should anticipate.

Some of these spoilers say Matt Clark escapes from jail & now he may be held hostage by Victor in the cage he has in his house.
Bad police station that keeps losing inmates, plus Victor has done this before with his 1st wife boyfriend, with Paul watching him so he wouldn’t escape. Love the show been looking at it since it first came on, but lately these plots are all over the place. Now we have to root for Mariah to get caught & Victor getting caught & both getting away with it.
