The One Storyline That Defined GH in 2025
General Hospital spoilers tease that a lot has happened in Port Charles this year. But one thing has been missing ever since Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) returned to the canvas last year.
Jason really hasn’t had a love story of his own. While there were attempts to pair Jason with both Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), neither of those pairings caught fire with viewers.
So, the powers that be decided to go back to a pairing that had worked in the past. That’s when Kelly Thiebaud was hired to return to the role of Dr. Britt Westbourn.
Britt Westbourn And Jason Morgan Had Great Chemistry
During Burton’s previous stint as Jason, he was paired with Britt and fans took notice of their chemistry almost immediately. But then Jason was presumed dead after a cave-in.
Britt remained in Port Charles another year after Jason’s death but she was also apparently murdered by the Hook aka Heather Webber (Alley Mills).
As it turns out, neither death was meant to be permanent. As stated above, Jason returned last year. But Britt’s death was much harder to reverse, since her death happened on screen.
Jason Morgan Saw Britt Westbourn Alive And Well!
When Jason accompanied Sasha out of town earlier, he found himself in Paris waiting at the airport waiting for his flight back home to Port Charles.
Britt was boarding a flight to Croatia and although Jason tried to stop the flight, he was unable to. So, he went home, now convinced that Britt was alive and well. He was right!
Britt was working at a resort known as The Five Poppies in a secret lab carrying on some sort of research. Her death had been faked so she could work on her father, Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) final project.
Jason Morgan Brought Britt Westbourn Home!
Although Britt had freedom to move about somewhat, she was still forced to help work on her father’s research. As it turns out, her mysterious benefactors were providing Britt with medicine that could keep her Huntington’s Disease in remission.
Eventually, Jason arrived at the Five Poppies and rescued Britt as well as WSB Agents Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and S. Vaughn (Bryce Durfee).
While much of Britt’s story remains a mystery, the story of her reintroduction to Port Charles was exciting and hit all the right beats.
There is still much to unpack when it comes to Britt, but it looks like Jason finally has a romance that may go the distance.
