General Hospital Spoilers: You Won’t Believe the Four Port Charles Couples Calling It Quits in the New Year!
General Hospital spoilers reveal Port Charles has seen its fair share of love stories over the last sixty-two years, and some stand out more than others.
Like Luke Spencer and Laura Collins (Anthony Geary, Genie Francis), Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
All great love stories that were on again, off again, on again…you get the point.
In the end though, they all shared one thing in common — some fairly brutal breakups that broke our hearts. It’s fair to say we will see more of those in the new year, and you might not be expecting all of them.
Two Couples Destined for Failure
We already know Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) aren’t going to make it. How could they?
She married him under completely false pretenses with the sole goal of getting her kids back. Whether that happens or not, she’s going to be filing for divorce as soon as possible. Unless, of course, her exit plan is as a widower.
On the other side of town, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is still playing the role of Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) girlfriend, but not for long.
She’s ready to take him down, and with Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) help, it’s likely she’ll succeed — but rumors are swirling that Brennan’s exit will also be in a coffin.
Lucas and Marco Won’t Last?
Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) is currently smitten over his beau Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo), but he has no idea that their relationship is built upon lies.
Day in and day out, Lucas thinks he’s building a future with this guy, but Marco is hiding a huge chunk of his life from his boyfriend. Marco is secretly working for his father, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) — a factor that Lucas would hardly be comfortable with.
Marco knows this and thus, he’s keeping it on the downlow. But how long can he pull that off?
Oh, probably just about as long as Sidwell is cool with Lucas hanging around Spoon Island. Expect to see Lucas back on his auntie Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) sofa in the new year.
Kevin and Laura Are No More?
Gasp! I know, me too. Laura has been hard at work holding it down as Mayor of Port Charles, and that impedes her from being able to skip off to Europe with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom).
Is it just me or does a move across the country sound like it’s not the healthiest choice for a marriage?
Laura’s high-stress career, coupled with now being under Sidwell’s control, means she could use every ounce of support Kevin can pour into her right now. Instead, he’s moving across the pond to Dublin, Ireland for the next six months.
