Days of our Lives weekly spoilers for January 5-9, 2026, reveal a big New Year’s week as Salem isn’t done ringing in 2026.
A Wedding Night Nightmare
Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) are both stunned when Dimitri Von Leuchner (Peter Porte) appears in Horton Town Square, ready to make things complicated for their fresh, new marriage.
As Leo and Dimitri go somewhere to talk, Javi descends into tears. However, by the end of the week, Leo does something to prove his love to Javi. That doesn’t mean that the trouble is over because Gwen Rizcech (Emily O’Brien) still has an ultimate plan.
Gwen and Dimitri find themselves arguing as things descend into chaos in the DiMera mansion. Gwen is going to find herself in hot water because her little plan to use Dimitri as a distraction may not work when EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) finds out what she did.
Xander’s Bad Week
Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) is trying to be a better person, but that’s easier said than done. Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) puts him on warning about his behavior at Titan, but that doesn’t mean much to Xander.
When Xander learns that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) are now closer than ever, he makes a big move. That’s right, Sarah and Brady have quite the romantic New Year’s Eve, which makes it look like they are about to become an official pair. Xander doesn’t like this at all, so he fires Brady.
Other Salem Happenings
There are two New Year’s miracles in Salem this year when both Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier) and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews)wake. Kristen DiMera is stunned, but Abe (James Reynolds) and Paulina Carver (Jackee Harry) are absolutely overjoyed.
In other Salem news, Holly Jonas returns to town early and surprises Tate Black. Kate Roberts gives Bonnie Kiriakis some bad news about her book. Can Bonnie talk her into publishing it?
And finally, there may be trouble in paradise already for Alex and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein). Does he do something offensive or does Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) presence get to her when Stephanie explodes on Alex?
