David Toborowsky Reveals His Health Battle From Hospital

This time last year, 90 Day Fiancé star David Toborowsky and his wife, Annie Suwan, were dealing with a hoax article about him being very ill in a hospital. But this year, he really is in the hospital. Read on to find out what is wrong.
Annie Reveals Hospitalization
90 Day Fiancé fans first heard that David Toborowsky was hospitalized from Annie Suwan. In her reel, which said, “Get well soon,” she shared the news that some nerve pain was giving him trouble. He was set to stay overnight so that medical professionals could help manage the pain.

Well, a few hours ago, on January 2, David also posted. In his Instagram video, he explained what was wrong, and he thanked his many 90 Day Fiancé fans for their love and best wishes. He looked a bit pale and tired, but he was obviously up to doing his video. In the background, fans could see that the TLC star still appeared to be in the hospital.
Degenerative Disc Disease
David said that he suffers from “degenerative disc disease” and “sciatic nerve bilateral” pain is no joke. However, by going to the hospital, the professionals are able to help him work on a plan going forward. Plus, he noted that followers sometimes say he walks “like a duck,” adding, “Well, I’ve been injured from many years ago.”

Next, little Minthira’s dad said because his injury happened and it’s painful, he’s going for an “MRI” which “might be a challenge.” However, he looks forward to some “resolution.” Next, he praised the hospital and the staff there for being “amazing.”
Fans React With Love
Of course, the popular couple really gets a lot of love, so plenty of new messages arrived in David Toborowsky’s update. One 90 Day Fiancé fan wrote, “Stay well and get better soon. Wishing you & your family a joyful, healthy, and prosperous year ahead. May 2026 bring lots of laughter, love, good health and great memories.”
Here are a few more responses from the discussion:
- Thoughts and prayers are with you. I have had sciatica pain and got a lot of relief through injection from pain management doctor.
- OMG I’m watching your video while I’m laying on an ice pack and just took two muscle relaxers because I think I threw my back out.
- I know the pain can be unbearable sending prayers.
- My degenerative disc disease is bad sometimes and I even had ultrasound guided injections.
Is It Fixable?
As you can see, degenerative disc disease and the nerve pain associated with it seems rather common. What is it? Well, according to PubMed Central:
It is the single most common cause of disability at age above 45 years and second most common reason for primary care physician visits.
Unfortunately, there isn’t any magic method to fix the problem. But pain management can be done, along with methods strengthening of the muscles via certain exercises. It most affects men over 45, but women are not immune to it, either.
