The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Has Options As Billy Hopes To Outplay Victor
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) isn’t undefeated. But he wins far more often than he loses.
So, Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) plan to ask Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to join the Abbott family’s efforts is far from a guarantee. Even if he convinces her to work with them, Victor still holds the high digital card.
Believing that she can steal the artificial intelligence tool back from the man she gave it to is a huge ask. But as the audience saw during Phyllis’ intense visit with the Moustache at the Ranch, she feels that Jabot’s downfall was Victor’s plan from the beginning.
Why Is Victor Newman Suggesting Calm?
Victor doesn’t need to calm Phyllis’ nerves. If he is going to put Jack out of business, then she might not have anything to head as was promised.
However, the head of Newman Enterprises could buy Jabot at pennies on the dollar, as he may do with the carcass of Arabesque. In that instance, Phyllis would realize her assumed part of the deal.
So, Victor can deliver something that resembles Jabot but give Phyllis a product that is badly stained. That would betray the spirit of the deal they reached. Yet, she has to recall that he forcefully told her they weren’t partners.
Jack Abbott’s Concerns Are Realistic
Jack believes there’s a moll but doesn’t know who it is. The audience knows what Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) told Victor.
Michael has again ingratiated himself with Victor, somehow managing the promise he made to his wife. Despite the gush of renewed love Michael offered to Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) during their recent standalone anniversary episode, it’s clear that he hasn’t abided by her rightful wishes.
Working for Victor means digging and slinging dirt. So, Michael’s so-called sources learned that Jack shut Jabot down, and that information was relayed, which allowed the Dark Knight to greenlight Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) latest smear via Newman Media during Abbott Communications’ launch party at the Genoa City Athletic Club’s jazz lounge.
Jack was understandably shocked and outraged when he received the alert about Newman Media’s news drop. He, Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) shifted into crisis mode immediately and then had what could be a productive meeting with Billy at the family mansion.
Billy Abbott Is The Right Pick
Jack convinced his brother that he was the right guy to approach Phyllis. Billy’s idea is to have her help them steal what was stolen.
Phyllis will need to be convinced that siding with the Abbotts is to her benefit. Based on Victor’s claimed promise of Jabot power, Billy will have to offer a position with the company.
Billy will approach Phyllis at a disadvantage because she’ll probably not reveal much, yet be willing to listen because of the position Victor’s put her in. So, a soapy deal might be made that could save Jabot from ruin and prevent Victor from using the AI program again.
