The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Matt’s Threat To Kill Noah Chills – Can Sienna Be Saved?
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) stepped back from the ledge. But viewers and Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge) later saw that he remains as much of a threat as he’s ever been.
Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) meeting with his family’s longtime nemesis in a chilly Chandler Park winter scene established a deal. Matt believes he convinced Nick to transfer one million dollars to an offshore account in exchange for releasing Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun).
Annie bristled as she and Matt stood near the bed where a drugged Sienna lay. Kresge’s corrupted character tried to offer a counter to Matt’s threat to kill Noah Newman (Lucas Adam) as one of two options, with the other being to allow him to live.
Origin Story Dates Back Decades To Sharon Collins
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) was Sharon Collins, her maiden name, when viewers first met her in 1994. Devoted fans know that Case is the third actor to play this role.
Monica Potter was the initial hire. Heidi Mark became the recast, and Case followed during that whirlwind year that was also when Morrow became the SORAS’d version of the then-teenager, Nicholas.
Matt was Sharon’s boyfriend who brutally attacked her. Nick responded in defense of the young woman he was falling in love with, and the rest became daytime history, as the pairing came to be known as Shick through to their only marriage.
Noah Newman’s Love Life Isn’t Great
Noah was last with Allie Abbott Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) when viewers last saw them earlier this decade. They were written off-screen, with Noah landing in London, England, and Allie working in Paris, France.
The recasting of Nick and Sharon’s firstborn child to Adams sparked the natural question as to whether Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) would also be written back in. So far, she hasn’t.
Noah’s replacement love interest is Matt’s wife, which begs a chicken and soapy egg question. Matt has stated that his wife was an adulteress, with a penchant for men who were younger than her.
It appears that Matt may have purposely targeted Noah in London because he wanted to have him meet Sienna. If so, that was part of a long-game plot to draw the Newman family into the latest edition of this
horror show sequel series.
Sharon Newman Needs To Finish This Storyline
Noah was in Act I, where he met Sienna. Nick and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) have been part of Act II, where Matt is confronted and offered a bribe.
However, Sharon needs to be the character who ends Matt’s reign. Yes, that would be similar to her thwarting Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby). But so what?
Even better if Sharon and Sienna team up to stop this villain. Linking yesterday and today would be fitting and solid soap.
