The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Matt’s Threat Revived – Sharon And Nick Aren’t Together Yet

The Young and The Restless: Matt Clark (Roger Howarth)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) didn’t drive off into the sunset. Good guys do that, and Howarth wasn’t cast to play that type of role.

Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and Matt’s wife, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), were captured, held hostage, and then chased by Matt. It’s still unclear whether Noah and Sienna sparked on their own or were positioned to do so by the man who twice tormented Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Viewers learned that Matt believed Noah wasn’t Sienna’s first affair. He spoke about other younger men she was connected to moments before the Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge) reveal happened. But those were just two wrinkles in this warped revivalist tale.

Sienna Bacall Gets A Last Name Change

Sienna came across tough when the audience first met her. The plot device used to create that debut had Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) inexplicably take Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) to one of his old haunts.

As it turned out, Holden and Audra Cortes (Zuleyka Silver) first met at The Shadow Room. Audra’s last name isn’t Charles, as she’s been fronting since being in Genoa City, Wisconsin, because of some illegal actions she took while living in Los Angeles, California.

So, Sienna’s last name actually isn’t Bacall. The deception, in this instance, involves her husband, whose assumed name is Mitch Bacall because of his past crimes. Obviously, a last name change is coming for Braun’s character with the assumption that she’s either revert to her maiden name or take Noah’s when they marry.

Nick Newman Needs To Stand Guard

Sharon has often told Nick that he doesn’t need to stand guard over her. That proved especially true during Cameron Kirsten’s (Linden Ashby) revisit storyline, as Sharon killed him.

However, Matt is a different animal and one who projects an ongoing threat. He’s not dead yet, though that’s where this story seems to be heading.

The Young and The Restless: Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)

Nick and Sharon share two children, with Noah nearly losing his life on multiple occasions because of Matt’s revenge fantasies. Thankfully, Adams’ character has staved off death, and his parents are temporarily okay.

Matt Clark Returns To The Scene Of His Crimes

Playing on his own LA turf was far easier than being in GC. Matt avoided that area of the country because he knew how dangerous it would be for him to show his face.

The climax that took place in California means that the Newman family can return home. But Matt has nothing to lose and wants to see his punishment therapy play out to the end. So he has to return to GC, right?

Longtime fans know that Matt attacked Sharon during this character’s first stint. In his second go-round, he tried to frame Nick for his fake death. Sharon and Nick were a first-time duo back then and eventually married. They’ve been divorced for nearly two decades, but momentum is creating the potential to re-couple.

Returning to the scene of his crimes is not something Matt desired. But he’s desperate, and that makes for another compelling daytime thriller.
