The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Can Phyllis Deliver? – Cane, Billy, And Jack Aim To Defeat Victor

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) appears to be playing all sides as she searches for her best deal. However, no one believes that she will return to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
In fact, it feels like Phyllis wants to follow through on her past intentions to thwart the Moustache. So, Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) offer to throw in with the Abbotts offers something meaty for her to chew on.
Michael Baldwin’s (Christian Le Blanc) and Lauren Fenmore’s (Tracey Bregman) recent conversation with Phyllis at the Genoa City Athletic Club was also encouraging. Michael has been trying to prevent Victor from wrecking the Abbott family’s business. So, he and Phyllis share common ground on that plot point.
Jack Abbott Defers Trust To His Brother
Billy had a heartfelt conversation with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) on Christmas Eve. His nephew volunteered that he was impressed with the progress he’s made and hoped it would continue.
Thompson’s often tortured character was grateful to hear what Kyle had to say. He responded by saying that Kyle’s dad, more than anyone on earth, has supported him, and he appreciated it greatly.
So, the trust Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has instilled in Billy is meaningful. It’s something that Billy wants to use to help preserve and potentially save Jabot. That’s where the Phyllis angle comes into play.
Phyllis Summers Isn’t The Last Resort
Billy sees Phyllis as a wild card. So does Jack and the remainder of the Abbott family. Actually, Phyllis’ children view her as does anyone who knows her in GC.
Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) only realizes now that it was a mistake to allow himself to get too close to her. Billy, being more experienced, takes a transactional approach that has real promise.
But Billy is wrong in one sense. Phyllis isn’t the last resort the Abbotts should turn to. She’s the first because of her hacking skills and demonstrated ability to secure the artificial intelligence program that has become a central focus of this show.

Cane Ashby Seeks Restitution In Genoa City
Phyllis was all about Cane when he held power, money, and influence. His influence is gone, the money pot is drained, and his power is evaporating because Victor used the AI weapon that Phyllis gave him against Arabesque.
Telling Cane that she still wants to partner with him was intriguing. It’s hard to tell if she’s partially attracted to the former Aristotle Dumas, but she did ask Cane to revive that spirit of that character.
While he’s rightfully mad that Phyllis betrayed him and stole his most valuable business tool and gave it to Victor, Cane can still benefit by playing nice with her. Billy is up front in wanting a mutually beneficial alliance.
As for Jack, he can still be the closer because Phyllis still holds a place in her heart for him and, like Bergman’s character, shares a mutual goal. They don’t want to neutralize Victor. They aim to bring him down.
