Thomas’ absence was understandable at Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) remarriage to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). But Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Samiri) presence as the ring bearer telegraphed his dad’s return.

Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) briefly returned to Los Angeles, California, last summer. Thomas stunned Hope in two ways at that time in the plot.

Well, Hope is part of the Forrester family through Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang). Deke is her brother. Do the math, Thomas.
Deke’s humility was endearing. He submitted his designs anonymously and scored the victory he was praying for. The executive staff loved what they saw and were more impressed when learning how Deke went about it.
So, if Thomas sees Deke as an impediment, he’s likely to want to sully him. And, as the audience remembers, Thomas knows how to bait others into a fight as Liam knows so well.
Fans Cheer The Return Of Matthew Atkinson
Atkinson arguably established himself as one of the best actors in daytime when he became the Thomas recast in 2019. It’s hard to imagine that six years have passed since then.
It’s also incredible that his name hasn’t been part of the Daytime Emmy Award-winning ceremonies. Here’s hoping that changes.
It’s not difficult to recall how stellar this actor is. Atkinson’s edition of Thomas steals scenes, in part, because his eclectic performances involve risk-taking. Never knowing what direction Thomas is going is riveting.
The return of Thomas means that drama is ahead. That has long been the driving nature of soap operas, which remain alive for various factors. Two of them are great writers and actors, like Atkinson, who elevate the scripts.
