The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) doesn’t believe in quiet returns. So, his reappearance at Forrester Creations in the land of make-believe, this edition of Los Angeles, California, is boisterous.
The last time he saw her, she was Hope Logan (Annika Noelle). But she’s again Hope Spencer. That factor is just one point of tension that’s added to the daytime mix.
Thomas intends to re-stake his claim in the family business. While he’s been in Paris, France, for what felt like a year-plus, Atkinson’s character is back, and everyone who matters at Forrester Creations will know it.
Hope Spencer’s Line Revived Again
Hope for the Future is a catchy title. Its message has become mixed as the years have passed because various people who are part of FC and aren’t named Hope aren’t exactly collaborative.
Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was named the co-Chief Executive Officer by her grandfather, Eric Forrester (John McCook). It’s been years since the triangle between Steffy, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), and Hope existed. A general thawing has been observed since then, but sporadic fights have persisted.
Wood’s character was key in killing Hope’s line in the recent past. But she was also part of its revision. So, that implied a smoother path for Hope. Implied is the key word in that last sentence.
Thomas Forrester Is A Lighting Rod
Steffy was one of the main reasons why Liam clashed so hard with Thomas. On that major plot point, Thomas was right.
Liam treated Steffy and Hope badly for many years, going back and forth between them and the children they had with him. However, both ladies willingly enabled his behavior and could have pursued other men because Liam was hardly each person’s only option.
However, Liam came to dislike Thomas’ manipulation of Hope’s heart. That was most pronounced when he intentionally used Douglas Forrester (Henry Samiri) to bond with Hope. She recognized what Thomas was doing, participated in what became a show-marriage, but also agreed to an unseemly transactional relationship with him once Liam left their most recent marriage.
All of the above is why Hope would prefer not to work with Thomas. This is something Steffy should go along with, most especially so that her brother stays on the right mental track.
Steffy Forrester Finnegan Protects Her Family
Steffy recognizes Hope as an extended part of the Forrester family. She is okay with Liam and Hope remarrying, though neither half of this revived couple sought her approval.
So, with legitimate progress having been made, Hope was thrilled to learn that her fashion line was being reinstated. She didn’t anticipate issues with Steffy, yet this is soap, and viewers know that conflict is crucial to developing storylines.
Hope’s brother, Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone), seemed to be the perfect link to a bright future. Every decision-maker, including Steffy, lauded his designs.
Yet, Thomas has talent, isn’t shy about promoting it, and might force the issue by wanting a renewed role with Hope for the Future’s next line. Steffy will back her brother, not Hope’s, when a lead designer is chosen.
