The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Ridge Starts Making Amends – Katie Faces Another Choice

The Bold and The Beautiful: Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye)

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) knows that he sent the wrong message and wants to make it right. His beloved adoptive father, Eric Forrester (John McCook), is rightfully hurt and needs time to think.

Ridge wants his dad to be healthy. So, he understandably was trying to create a respectful exit plan. The mistake was assuming Eric wanted to go.

Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) was uncharacteristically silent about Ridge’s hoped-for grand farewell. Viewers recognized that Brooke’s inability to express her opinion about family matters to her husband, as she almost always does, left plot space for conflict to be created.

One Last Stroll Down The Runway?

A day or so after Ridge’s plan flopped, he and Eric were alone on the fabled runway at Forrester Creations. It was surprising to see McCook’s character back at work so soon after he left with his heavy heart.

Eric knows that Ridge loves him and that the most recent health scare wasn’t years ago in real-time or soap-time. But the co-founder and Chair of FC isn’t ready to go. His design skills are humming, even if his body should be protected by all of his loved ones, despite his not wanting them to do so.

The Bold and The Beautiful: Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis)

Donna Logan Stands With Honey Bear But Is Open To The Future

Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) was swapped in for Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) when Sofer’s character was written out of the show. That switch was a bit clumsy, yet still believable because Donna is one of Eric’s loves.

Gareis’ character is a sweet person who has Eric’s best interests at heart. That was reaffirmed when she called for a portrait to be commissioned, which would replace Quinn’s above the mantle in the spacious Forrester mansion living room.

Everyone was relieved that Donna didn’t envision herself in an oil-based image. She had Eric’s aura painted and hung. That selfless act demonstrated that Donna is the right woman for Eric because her devotion is immense.

She backs whatever Eric wants to do, but is realistic about his health. So, having him at home with her would be fine if that’s what he wants.

Eric Forrester Hasn’t Left His Final Mark

Yes, Eric termed his last collaboration with Ridge as the final collection of his career. But the revived adulation Eric received changed his mind.

Eric should keep working as long as he’s able and can work without fear of an unhealthy outcome. Ridge isn’t Eric’s doctor or his boss. He actually called his father a partner, which was intriguing.

Legally, who is in charge of this reigning fashion superpower?

That question is one of many that likely will be explored in the new year. But Eric’s tradition is to entertain his family and viewers with holiday tunes at the piano on the final episode before Christmas. Hopefully, that tradition isn’t curtailed by hurt feelings.
