The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Katie Logan (Heather Tom) never expected to be remarried to Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) so soon. But that surprise was surpassed when he offered her a shocking wedding gift.
The fashion house that Bill wants to start isn’t his next grand Spencer Publications idea. Instead, it’s a heartfelt gesture meant to show Katie how much he loves and respects her.
Leaving Forrester Creations wasn’t on Katie’s mind. However, a recent slight by Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and his wife, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), opened the daytime door to a most intriguing future.
A Crisis Management Team Handling Public Relations?
Katie thought she was the head of FC’s public relations department. A quaint term that remains current in the modern world.
Ridge and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) had full confidence in Katie in recent years. That’s why they had her serving in a position that shapes and manages the Forrester family’s public perception.
However, the fallout of Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) reveal as a double murderer, jailing, pardon, assumed death, and actual demise was intense. Brooke stepped up to assist Ridge with day-to-day affairs while Steffy took time away from the business to clear her head of all things Luna.
During the above period, Ridge and Brooke felt it best to hire an outside agency to specifically handle Luna-related issues because Katie was too close to the finale of that thriller storyline.
Katie Logan Was Stunned When Put On The Bench
It didn’t feel like Ridge planned to keep Katie on the bench forever or to push her out the door. He genuinely wanted to give her time to process all that happened to her son as part of Luna’s diabolical pregnancy plan, the miscarriage of the baby she and Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) were having, and her death.
Yet, anyone can understand why Katie felt badly slighted. Ridge wouldn’t be a good choice to handle PR because he botched communication with Katie just as he did with his dad, Eric Forrester (John McCook), regarding the retirement party.
Strangely, Brooke didn’t urge Ridge to present the crisis management to Katie carefully or serve as a go-between. That felt out of character, as Brooke often takes the lead in handling potentially difficult family matters. Yet, that point was needed to advance the plot.
Bill Spencer Creates New Destiny Definition
Bill has been on his better man kick for a while. A series of humorous scenes involving Diamont restraining his traditional Dollar Bill impulses included Katie, Will, and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).
So, Bill was sent into the wilderness these past years. Katie’s love was not in doubt, but her ability to forgive his transgressions and confirm true change was.
The remarriage proposal was instantly accepted. But what followed went beyond Katie’s wildest dreams. He sees FC as her yesterday and the new fashion house as her destiny, to play off a well-cited noun Brooke uses to describe her connection with Ridge.
