The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Eric’s Backlash – Ridge Forced Out Of Forrester Creations?

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Eric Forrester (John McCook) simply wants to follow up on what’s worked recently and through the decades.

He’s a world-famous fashion designer who changed the industry. So, it makes total sense that he wants to collaborate with the son he generously adopted all those soapy years ago.

Devoted fans know that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) isn’t Eric’s biological child. He’s Massimo Marone’s (the late, great Joseph Mascolo) and Stephanie Forrester’s (Susan Flannery) son, whom Eric adopted.

But the issue isn’t paternity rights or the feeling of family trust. No, it’s about Ridge believing his father would be putting his health at risk, as he did during their last collaboration, which was supposed to be Eric’s final collection.

Eric Forrester Has The Right To Change His Mind

The easy answer to this section header is an unequivocal yes. Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) believes this with her whole heart.

But Ridge isn’t part of the honey bear cheering section. The clear-headed decisions he makes as the co-head of Forrester Creations have a spill effect. He’s also become more exact about life issues, including his recent firm split from Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig).

So, Ridge obviously believes that he can change his mind about important decisions while also concluding that Eric doing the same isn’t equal.

Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s Thoughts Are Important

Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), like Ridge, was chosen by Eric to head the business that her grandmother and namesake, Stephanie, co-founded many decades ago. She’s led the family business with her dad in recent years.

However, the co-heads of FC were lax when signing paperwork that their trusted Board member and legal counsel created. Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) likely would have been removed from the company by many other top executives. But like Eric, Ridge, and Steffy have deep compassion for others, including those who betray them, as Carter did when briefly taking control of the company.

With the above in mind, it will be interesting to see how Steffy straddles the line between loyalty and uniformity with her father and respect for her grandfather. Neither Ridge nor Steffy can be objective about Eric, so Carter is someone they both can turn to for input about this developing family conflict.

Forrester Creations Is A Family Business

With family business comes drama. That’s always been true of FC and certainly is something viewers, who are connected to businesses that involve their family members, can relate to.

A compromise could be reached where Eric designs with Ridge or the company in general, but doesn’t overtax himself. Donna should be called upon for help there because Eric listens to his renewed love interest and knows that she always has his best interests in mind.

Yet, an extended feud between this father and son could be presented well into the new year. Imagine if Ridge, not Eric, were forced out of the family business. That would be a great dramatic choice.
