The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Eric Makes Peace With Himself And Ridge – Honoring Stephanie Forrester

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) initial instinct was to fight. He didn’t want Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) telling him to retire. But that initial outlook quickly softened due, in part, to the season of Christmas.
Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) is Eric’s renewed love. One of her first major acts, after they were reunited, was to commission a painting of the Forrester patriarch. And that term is used with respect and love by all who are rational in this version of Los Angeles, California.
Eric built a great company with the woman he loved, the late Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery). He recently spoke with her directly, as viewers saw. That conversation was more than reminiscence because it reinforced the reality of yesterday.
Stephanie Forrester Co-Founded Forrester Creations
Forrester Creations wasn’t a company he founded decades ago. Stephanie was an equal partner, a term that some choose to believe is newer. It’s not.
Stephanie and Eric created the idea of a fashion house that they would build together. Their efforts are still seen to this day and have impacted the lives of their families, as they hoped.
Viewers didn’t see FC’s origin story as it happened. Instead, this LA-based company was said to have existed for years when this soap opera premiered in 1987.
McCook’s character choosing to pick up the photo of the personal Flannery embodied for decades was a respectful nod to show history. It also served as a reminder that those who are older aren’t stereotypes and they didn’t do everything wrong, as those who are naive have foolishly convinced themselves.

Ridge Forrester Cares About His Dad
Devoted fans know that Eric isn’t Ridge’s biological father. Kaye’s character is a Marone, as last summer’s return of Dominick, or Nick, Marone (Jack Wagner), reinforced.
The late Massimo Marone (Joseph Mascolo) had an affair with Stephanie, which was only later discovered. That made for one of the more intense storylines in B&B’s history.
But Ridge doesn’t think of Massimo as his father. The only man who ever served in that role is and will always be Eric, whose health and well-being are Ridge’s top concern.
Eric Forrester’s Designs On The Future
The scenes with Eric gently caressing a covered design he created led to a heartfelt reveal on Christmas Eve. He hadn’t turned one of his dress designs into something for Donna to wear as a high-end fashion statement.
Instead, Eric created magnificent Santa and Mrs. Claus outfits that he and Donna snuck off and changed into during the annual Forrester family Christmas Eve party. Adorned with a great wig and beard, McCook became the perfect Saint Nick. Gareis was also perfectly outfitted as Santa’s wife.
It appears that Eric has reconciled to retirement. He’s made peace with himself and Ridge during a season that offers a renewable lesson in timeless sacrifice and love that all can strive for on both sides of the screen.
