The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Did Eric Betray Ridge’s Trust, Does Katie Benefit From the Fallout?
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Eric Forrester (John McCook) wavered. He wanted to return to designing on a full-time basis, was told no by his son, and then relented. However, the rise of Logan implies that Eric’s pencil kit and sketch pad haven’t been seen for the last time.
Viewers must believe that Eric’s seemingly brief contemplation wasn’t created so that it could be quickly resolved in a handful of episodes. His fingers were seen tickling the ivory keys on his grand piano during the annual Christmas Eve carol tradition.
Eric initially wanted to forego that celebration. But Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) turned her true love’s heart around. His trip to Forrester Creations wasn’t to pine for yesterday but rather to retrieve the Santa and Mrs. Claus costumes he created, with that appearing to be his last fashion act.
Ridge Forrester Must Believe He’s A Doctor
Eric Forrester (John McCook) has routinely cited his father’s health as the reason why he doesn’t want Eric to be anything more than a sporadically seen figurehead at their family business.
To be fair, Eric has suffered multiple health issues through the years, and the most recent one was tied to the level of exertion he engaged in.
One can argue that Ridge doesn’t want to see Erick keel over near the runway that is accessed through a hidden passageway behind the co-Chief Executive’s desks in the Executive Suite at FC. It’s reasonable to believe that a plus-80 man should be taking the back nine easy.
But one can also assert that it’s better for Ridge if Eric isn’t around at work. Without his dad, Ridge and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) rule the plush roost.
Brooke Logan Forrester Offers Support On Her Terms
Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) is a brand name, or at least the Logan portion of her moniker is according to Katie Logan Spencer’s (Heather Tom) headstrong sister. As for mouthing the word support, it was just words.
How, exactly, is Brooke supporting Katie’s foray into the fashion business other than saying that she is?
Brooke believed she had a moral and legal right to block the head of Spencer Publications’ newest division from operating. Telling Katie that she can’t call the new company Logan is the start of a soapy firestorm that promises to deliver drama between multiple families well into the new year.
Sewing Eric Forrester And Katie Logan Together
Eric felt slighted by Ridge and Brooke. Pushed aside via an ill-conceived retirement party at the company he and his late ex-wife, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery), founded, he created justified feelings of betrayal.
Katie experienced condescension from that couple when she was kept on the sidelines after the Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) crisis passed and the outside public relations firm was retained.
There was no rational reason why FC needed to keep a crisis management team in place because Katie handled public and media relations for more than a decade.
Longtime fans see the setup. Katie would greatly benefit from having a game-changer on her staff. No one has seen Eric’s new designs. Providing them to her on the sly would create great soap. Hopefully, that’s what’s coming next.
