Is ‘Young and The Restlesss’ Jason Thompson Returning to General Hospital as Patrick Drake?
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that CBS fans know Jason Thompson as Billy Abbott while ABC fans remember him as Patrick Drake on General Hospital.
In a recent interview with Swooon, Thompson opined on his GH character and if he is set to return as the doctor with a heart of gold.

Jason Thompson Played Patrick Drake in Port Charles
Before leaving Port Charles in 2016, Thompson played Dr. Patrick Drake, the son of Dr. Noah Drake (Rick Springfield), on General Hospital as well as its spin-off, General Hospital: Night Shift.
After Thompson’s departure he took on the role of Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) brother Billy on The Young and the Restless. He’s become a fan fave on the Genoa City, Wisconsin based soap but was asked if he thinks Patrick would ever return to GH.
According to Thompson, there is one person that makes him wonder about a return to General Hospital.

That person is Kimberly McCullough who played his onscreen wife, Robin Scorpio-Drake.
He said: “There’s a magic to watching someone grow up in front of your eyes, and General Hospital fans had that in Kimberly. She was on that show at five years old, and she never really left. And you’re talking about full-on storylines where she was holding her own for many, many years.”
Does Jason Thompson Miss Port Charles?
McCullough has branched out into directing and has not been back to GH in years. That doesn’t mean that the Drakes won’t make a guest appearance at some point in time, but for now there is no talk of such a thing taking place.
In fact, Thompson made sure to note: “Don’t get me wrong — I’m incredibly, incredibly happy where I am, and I have no plans of going anywhere. And if it’s up to me, I’ll be doing this for the next 30, 40 years on Y&R, but at the same time, I still love that character, and I still would love to embody it a little bit.”
That is good news to fans’ ears as Billy is up to his neck in dramarama in GC and apparently will remain there fighting the good fight against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)!
