General Hospital Spoilers: Was Marty’s Apology All a Ruse to Gain Points with Laura While Throwing Tracy Under the Bus?

General Hospital spoilers claim Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was handed a significant piece of intel on Wednesday from a mystery person who seems keen on staying that way.
A stranger approached her in the empty courtroom after what was a rather fruitless pursuit of Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Delivering a typed letter without any signature, Alexis was stunned to find what the letter conveyed — that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) had just perjured herself.
Willow may not be out of the game after all, but I can’t help but wonder if the person behind that letter was Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight). It sure would make that saccharine apology make more sense.
I’m Sorry, So Sorry
Despite the fact that he is the one who was in the wrong, Marty was less than thrilled when Tracy approached his table at the Metro Court and interrupted his meal with Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
Congratulating Laura on her mayoral win was welcomed, but Marty wasn’t interested in having any further conversation with the Quartermaine matriarch. It wasn’t until Laura prompted him and very clearly noted he owed Tracy an apology that he copped to it.

GH Spoilers Gush Marty is Nothing If Not Strategic
We already saw Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Tracy have it out in the Quartermaine kitchen over what really happened that night at Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) place.
We know someone was eavesdropping, but it could have been any number of people who overheard Tracy confirming she saw Michael at Drew’s the night he was shot.
However, it made sense since Marty was already on the grounds, and he hates Tracy with a passion.
He might have intended to spill the beans all along, but something tells me it was Tracy’s attitude over lunch that rubbed Marty the wrong way and nudged him to relay that intel to Alexis.
What Comes Next?
If it was Marty who made sure that vital information made its way into the hands of Willow’s attorney, I would expect that Drew will be thrilled about it. Why then wouldn’t he do it more out in the open? Why the anonymous letter? He overheard a discussion in person.
It’s not recorded evidence that can be thrown out based on chain of custody of the ability to tamper with it.
This is his first-person account. Why not tell Alexis himself? My guess is for the same reason he spit out that apology today — because he wants his sister to think highly of him again. It’s not looking good, Marty.
