Does this mean there’s no love between them anymore? That’s what a lot of General Hospital fans can’t help but wonder when it comes to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Sonny Has Been Treating Jason With Too Much Disrespect

While there’s no doubt that Jason has always been painfully loyal to the biggest mob boss that this fictional town of Port Charles has ever seen, that love hasn’t always been reciprocated.

In fact, many longtime viewers have noticed that Sonny has treated Jason more like an employee than someone who he should consider like a close part of the family.

After all, Jason has always been there for Sonny, from the good times and the bad. This has prompted a lot of fans to suggest that Jason should end his undying loyalty to a man who has never shed a tear for him.

Not only that, but it’s also time to make Jason more than just a glorified henchman trapped under Sonny’s thumb, right?

Clearly, General Hospital fans certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some even commented with, “What does Sonny give him in return? He doesn’t even pretend to give a damn what happens to him. Has Sonny once expressed condolences to Jason for the loss of his mother? Did he even apologize for killing his only brother? No.”

It’s Time For Jason To Be More Than Just A Glorified Henchman

“In fact, he helped drive the wedge between them in the first place.”

Another critic of the show wrote, “When the world thought Jason was dead (twice), I don’t think Sonny shed a single one either time. When Jason returned, Sonny repeatedly threatened to kill him.”

“He wasn’t on his meds at the time, but where was an apology? He just picked up where he left off, expecting Jason to cover up Cates’ murder.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Sonny calls and Jason goes without questions because he knows whatever it is, it’ll not only be important but it’ll be something that neither of them wants to talk about over the phone in this age of surveillance.”
