General Hospital Spoilers: Can Sonny Stem the Tension Between Dante and Gio Before It’s Too Late?
General Hospital spoilers report Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is offering advice to his son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), this week. What might that be about? Dante has had a heck of a year.
He lost Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) before 2024 ever closed out, and the holiday season being upon him may remind him of what it was like to move through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s without his would-be fianceé last year.
It still doesn’t seem like he’s ready to entertain the thought of being with Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), but he’s also not even ready to welcome his own son — Giovanni ‘Gio’ Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) — into his heart.
It’s likely that Sonny is going to have something to say about how his son is dealing with both of his own boys.
General Hospital Spoilers — Calling a Truce
Sure, Dante and Gio met last week and cleared the air. For Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr), they agreed to tolerate each other. That’s the long and short of it.
It seems like this apple didn’t fall too far from the tree, because Gio is just as stern and stubborn as his father in this case.
Both feel wronged and neither one of them wants to take the first steps. Despite that truce, it doesn’t seem like either of them are looking forward to spending time with one another over the holidays either. Rocco is certain to sense that.
GH Spoilers Leak Sonny Has His Say
If anyone in Port Charles knows what it’s like to live with the regret of not being the type of father they would have liked to be, it might be Sonny.
He was absent from his kids’ lives on and off due to repeated divorces, stints in legal battles, times he had to flee the country, other eras when life was too dangerous to have the kids around, and don’t forget about when he forgot who he was.
Not to mention, Sonny didn’t know Dante was his son until he was grown, much like Dante didn’t know the truth about Gio until then. There is no one more qualified to tell him how to handle entering into being his dad after being next to nothing to him.
General Hospital Spoilers — A Nice Change of Pace
In the past, we’ve seen a lot of life lessons being shared between Sonny and Dante. Oddly, they’ve often been rendered in the other direction, with Dante having to teach his father how to be a better dad, a more upstanding citizen, or a man in better control of his own feelings and behavior.
It’s high time that Dante gets a good talking to from his dad, especially since Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) has been quiet lately and rather occupied with her husband’s recovery
