The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Cane And Phyllis Connect For Real After Truth Is Told?

The Young and The Restless: Cane Ashby's (Billy Flynn) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) game failed on two fronts. First, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) saw him trying to gain entry to her laptop. Then, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) saw him walking hand-in-hand down the stairs at the Genoa City Athletic Club.

As Cane fans suspected and were relieved to see, he still believes that Phyllis hacked into Arabesque’s computer system and stole his artificial intelligence weapon. So, the romantic escapade he had with her was part of his latest plan.

As Phyllis fans suspected and were relieved to see, she caught him red-handed. The smile on the face of Stafford’s character was a mix of surprise and satisfaction. She’s still ahead in her game plan, with the Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) trade in effect, no matter what Cane learns or however he reacts.

Lily Winters Got Right To It

Lily’s visit to the Ranch was important. She didn’t waste time, asking Victor straight out if he stole Cane’s AI program.

Victor offered his typical response. When not wanting to answer a question, he asks one in return.

But when Lily moved to warn him about not using that digital tool against Winters, he told her to wait a minute. Victor reminded her that he was friends with her late father, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), and that it was nonsense to believe he would go after her family business that he helped her return to.

Tellingly, while still denying that he had the AI tool, in response to Lily’s other comment about Jabot, Victor said that was a different story. She took the implication as a tacit acknowledgment.

Cane Ashby Is On Victor Newman’s Hit List

The meeting Lily requested and was granted with Victor will affect Cane more than he could imagine. As Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) learned, his father plans to bury Cane deeply.

Victor hoped that Lily would distance herself from Cane rather than allow herself to fall back under his spell. Sure enough, Victor’s desire was realized when Lily spotted Cane and Phyllis at the hotel he recently purchased with the stolen fortune Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) provided to his son.

Of course, this scenario wouldn’t be unfolding if Phyllis hadn’t stolen Cane’s property and provided it to Victor.

Phyllis Summers’ Enemy Is The Moustache

A reformed or rewritten section header could have been a question. What does Phyllis want?

Viewers know that Phyllis has been plotting to get Victor from the start. She has never forgotten the horror he thrust into her life by having that heinous doppelganger, Marco Annicelli (Peter Bergman in a dual role), replace Jack.

Cane is in the process of being crushed by Victor. Phyllis already feels sorry that it happened, and even when Cane confronts her with the truth about her theft, she is still more likely than not to suggest they fight Victor together. That, along with Lily not being available, projects into Flynn’s and Stafford’s characters connecting for real, including the potential for an actual romance.
