Michael & Lauren Slated For “Standalone” Episode On The Young And The Restless

The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that not every super couple’s marriage lasts over two decades (without a single divorce)! As such, it’s no shocker that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) are slated for a special standalone episode to honor their momentous love story! Michael & Lauren’s 20th Anniversary

As per TV Guide Magazine, Lauren and Michael will get a standalone episode to pay tribute to their 20th wedding anniversary. The big show takes place on Tuesday, December 9. Christian LeBlanc was quoted as saying that it was a surprise to him when he found out.

While his co-star Bregman knows “dates, times, years”, he, “… was not clocking at all. I was like, ‘Ooh, what? Yay!’” The episode is sure to be stacked with montage moments and video flashbacks of the ups and downs the couple faced over the years.

Michael and Lauren got married on December 9, 2005, and four years later, in 2009, welcomed their son, Fenmore Baldwin (Zack Tink) into the world.

Michael & Lauren’s Love Story

In typical soapy fashion, Michael and Lauren weren’t on the same page when they met; however, it was Lauren’s sympathy toward Michael’s troubled younger brother (at the time), Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), that helped bond the pair.

Lauren posted bail for Kevin, something Michael was unable to do at the time, and they became friends, and then eventually more.

With that said, they’ve had good times and bad times over the years, but the fact that the two have been able to hold on to their marriage without getting a divorce is a feat that even Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) can’t boast about.

In fact, there are very few soapy couples that have reached this accomplishment in the land of daytime drama. There’s been some close calls for Lauren and Michael, but their love has endured.
