General Hospital spoilers report Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) sure is laying it on thick with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell). To be frank, some fans are finding it difficult to assess whether Michael is just playing his cards right with this newly retired escort, or if he’s actually interested in seeing where things can go with her.
Jacinda seems to be lapping up every word he has to say, but if she finds out Michael is playing her for a fool, all bets are off. Jacinda clearly has a vindictive side lurking beneath the surface, and she has no problem standing up for herself or seeking revenge where necessary.
So, Michael better not cross her. Still, his plan isn’t foolproof. Jacinda might like the story Michael is telling her, but Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) could team up to drive a pretty hard bargain in Jacinda’s direction that might have her running for the nearest exit from Port Charles.
Michael is pulling out all the stops to charm his way into Jacinda’s world. Or rather, to make her a part of his world. He is desperate to make sure his alibi sticks for the night that Drew was shot, and he seems appreciative that Jacinda believes him that he wasn’t the shooter.
Still, she’s been crystal clear that he obviously is trying to cover up something about that night, and in time, she may want to know what that is. Michael isn’t going to give away his hand too soon though.
He has a lot riding on this, and he just needs Jacinda to stick around and stick to their story, but Nina and Drew aren’t going to make that easy.
Michael may have shot himself in the foot — no pun intended — by linking Jacinda with Nina. He could’ve thought he was being cute and sticking it to his former mother-in-law by forcing her to onboard Jacinda as her new assistant, but giving Nina face time with Jacinda to get under her skin or try to pick apart this fabricated alibi wasn’t Michael’s smartest move.
The moment Michael left Nina’s office, The Crimson Editor-in-Chief was trying to buy Jacinda off.
Somehow, the girl for hire had more integrity in that moment than Nina did, but will that hold out as Nina and Drew put the pressure on? Will Jacinda be able to hold up her end of this deal, or will she break her word to Michael?
It might’ve seemed too good to be true when Michael bought Jacinda’s drink the night that Drew was shot. But she was just angling for someone to take care of the bar tab. She never thought she would end up embroiled in another scheme involving Drew of all people.
Now, she’s working for the same woman who paid her to drug and seduce the slimy Congressman, and she may end up getting worked herself here if she’s not careful.
Previews show Nina and Drew shooting straight with each other — both of them fighting to get Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) a shot at freedom.
Will they link arms in hopes of pressuring Jacinda to turn on Michael so they can take the spotlight off of Willow? It’s anybody’s guess whether Michael will come to regret ever buying Jacinda that drink. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
