David Toborowsky took to his Instagram on Thursday and posted a photo of Minthira that seemed so perfect, it was hard to believe it wasn’t taken by a professional or even AI-enhanced. In it, she sat amid a sea of lanterns.
In his caption, David wrote:
Minthira’s very first Lantern Festival ✨
She doesn’t need to make a wish tonight — she is our wish come true. Our hearts are full.
Well, thousands of people loved the stunning photo, and clearly, she also makes many others feel as if their hearts are full.

Per Grasshopper Adventures, The lantern festival in Thailand is mainly about Loy Krathong and Yi Peng, which are two similar festivals that occur in November. Commonly called the Thailand lantern festivals, they stun observers because of the amazing release of both water and sky lanterns.
Loy Krathong, or the Festival of Lights or Water Lantern Festival, takes place all over the country on the full moon night of the 12th lunar month of the Thai calendar. Like most years, it falls in November. Notably, people who saw it in the past grabbed some fantastic photos long before AI arrived to ruin everything.
