The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victor Miscalculates — Cane’s Scorched-Earth Revenge Stuns Jack and Jill

The Young and The Restless: Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) wasn’t fazed. He believes Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is many steps behind him and is no match for the self-proclaimed king of Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) were rattled by Cane’s unannounced appearance at Newman Media. Fans wondered how he made it through security while also realizing that this scene was needed to kick-start the next part of this storyline that’s been developing for months.

Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) hosted his stepmother in Jabot’s executive suite. The connection she forged with his late father, John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), made Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) family, and Jack’s counting on that bond, along with the one they have through Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), to turn the daytime tide.

Cane Ashby Has No Options Left?

Jill believes that Newman Media’s hit piece will spark a fierce response. She knows that Cane’s state of mind was fragile before Victor retaliated. Now, there’s no telling what he’ll do if the business plan he was plotting is damaged or destroyed.

Cane’s children are refusing to talk with him because of the betrayal they’ve endured. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) continues to impress on her one-time husband and the father of the twins that what he did was terrible, with Cane not seeming to have realized the impact his Aristotle Dumas persona would have.

Jack remains worried about Billy. But the more immediate concern is Cane’s wrath and how he might use the artificial intelligence software to take over the Abbott family’s legacy business.

Victor Newman Isn’t Afraid Of Lawsuit Threat

It’s only slander if it’s false and can be proven in a court of law. But Cane made himself a public figure. Plus, Victor apparently has a written letter that serves as proof of Colin Atkinson’s (Tristan Rogers) swindling of Madame Deleon (no actor was cast to portray this retrospective role).

Victor greenlighted the publication of the Newman Media hit piece because he wanted to damage Cane’s public reputation. He thinks it doesn’t really matter if Cane was in on Colin’s seeming ploy or not.

The Young and The Restless: Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn)

Cane might have a hard time proving defamation of character and wants Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to get to work on reversing his now sullied reputation. That could be a hard pull.

Jill Abbott Is More Aligned With Jack Abbott

Jill trusts Victor as much as Jack doesn’t, meaning not at all. Her family’s bond with Jack and their mutual interest in Billy makes Jill a player in this drama.

Cane is touched by Jill’s presence in his life, seeing her as a mother figure. He also knows that she sincerely cared about Colin, even after their divorce.

Whether she’ll be able to prevent him from scorching the GC landscape is debatable. He has nothing to lose and payback on his mind at this point in the storyline.
