The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Phyllis’ Fake-Out – Victor Framed For AI Theft
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is brilliant. But will her undisciplined nature lead to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) reversing the soapy tables?
Viewers were the only ones privy to seeing Phyllis steal Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) artificial intelligence program. They also know that Phyllis lied to his face when denying that she’d done so.
But it doesn’t appear that Cane is the full target of her wrath. While Phyllis is upset that he ended their deal, where she would be his top digital lieutenant, Victor is the person she wants to bring down.
Jack Abbott Is Still Part Of The Family
Phyllis loved Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). While they haven’t been married in years and aren’t currently in love with each other, she knows that Jack is a good man.
Jack’s relationship with Phyllis has been fluid through the years. They’ve been there for each other at crucial times, including when he was hooked on prescription pain medication. At others, their bond was strained.
Devoted audience members recall the heinous incident where Victor sprang a look-a-like from a Peruvian prison, Marco Annicelli (Bergman in a dual role). That happened when Gina Tognoni (Phyllis) was playing this character and remains the deepest-seeded reason why the character Stafford returned to playing in 2019, when Tognoni departed the cast.
Cane Ashby Lost His Leverage
Despite his wavering, Cane continued to hold the computer tool because it gave him leverage. The options he had with that program were immense.
However, Phyllis stealing it, as he suspects she did, didn’t upset his business plans. Cane just agreed to give the AI program to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). He took that breakthrough as a first step toward reconciliation.
Phyllis’ crime likely means Lily will think Cane double-crossed her or has changed his mind. Whether or how fast he can prove Phyllis is guilty remains to be seen.
Cane’s delicate dance with Lily has already proven that she is still affected by him. He sees her as the only true love of his life and wants to reconstitute their family. First, he must earn her trust, and Phyllis’ betrayal considerably damages that effort.
Victor Newman Is Two Steps Ahead?
Victor’s ego is legendary. Phyllis is counting on the old boy to have lost his footing, rather than be at least two steps ahead of her and everyone else.
Her plan isn’t to help Victor but to sink him. She’s always wanted payback for the Marco storyline, but has never realized it.
Jack is likely to suspect Phyllis’ foul play. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) would be onto that as well, but he’s busy in Los Angeles, California. So, it will be intriguing to see how Victor handles her offer to provide Cane’s AI program to him.
