The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) is scared that her marriage is in trouble. She knows that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) should have known Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) was alive and is determined to make things right. Sheila hopes to avoid losing her marriage.
Her initial response was to praise Deacon’s decision to seek mental health support, and she credited Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) with being a solid, professional choice to help that process. However, trailing her husband to the good doctor’s practice wasn’t normal and reinforced that Sheila makes threats when she feels cornered.
While Deacon is trying to be proactive, he’s also verging on flirting with Taylor. There’s also the Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) payback factor, due to the old rivalry over Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).
Deacon saved Sheila when they first got together. However, an honest assessment of their marriage would suggest that both people have helped stabilize each other, as some marriages do.
He’s poured his heart out to Taylor and told Sheila that he’s at a breaking point. Keeping Luna’s existence a secret from him was too much, at least in Deacon’s mind.
Sheila knew how close Deacon felt to Paul Hollis Hollister (Hollis W. Chambers) and Tom Starr (Clint Howard). Paul was a valued employee and friend at Il Giardino. Tom became a valued friend after he led Deacon and John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) to Sheila when Sugar (Brown in a dual, look-a-like performance) was holding her hostage.
So, Sheila understands her husband’s disappointment. She is desperately trying to impact Deacon’s perspective and avoid a permanent split.
It’s reasonable to believe that Sheila could suggest marriage counseling to her husband. Deacon might be open to couples therapy since he pursued psychiatric sessions on his own.
However, Deacon clearly wants distance from Sheila so he can clear his head and then make a balanced decision about the future. Taylor shouldn’t be the person to lead those sessions, but she could offer a referral.
Hope increases for this likable pairing if Sheila makes this offer and Deacon accepts. But if she doesn’t make it or does and he rejects it, then a widening rift probably happens.
Sheila already warned Taylor. She isn’t going to allow anyone or anything to come between her and Deacon.
Brown’s character achieved the type of life that she was hoping for after marrying Deacon. Rather than constantly revisiting exaggerated and imagined grievances, Sheila focused on Deacon’s love and the confidence he has in her.
Taylor is an easy target for fans to contemplate because of the embrace Sheila witnessed her have with Deacon. But Kanan’s character could find himself the intended or unintended focus of Sheila’s wrath if she believes their marriage is over or appears headed in that direction.
