General Hospital Spoilers: Fans Weigh In – Should Drew Have Been Killed Off In That Shocking Twist?

General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal a crucial question regarding recent events-should the show have killed Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) off, instead of having him survive?
Numerous fans are experiencing a sense of betrayal following that deadly fake-out, so let’s discuss the advantages and disadvantages of keeping Drew alive.
Drew Has Become The Most Hated Villain In Port Charles And On Social Media
Drew has become the most hated villain in Port Charles and on social media, and unfortunately Cameron Mathison has even been attacked by fans who don’t know reel from real! It wasn’t some crazy psycho, but he made a post on his social media about an angry shopper who threw an apple or something at him in the grocery store.
Perhaps he should have told them they had him confused with Ryan Lavery or one of his Hallmark characters, but he wasn’t hurt-no death threats or anything like that.
Cameron played Ryan Lavery, a distant relative of Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) when he was on the defunct ABC soap “All My Children”. Plus, he’s played several characters in Hallmark movies.
Fans Were Rejoicing Over Drew’s Expected Death, Then Were Disappointed
We could see fans throwing parties in their homes and acting like munchkins in the land of Oz, over the wicked witch being dead, but ding dong darn it, Drew didn’t die! Many viewers were left applauding after Drew took two bullets to the back, eagerly anticipating his downfall.
Drew’s actions have deteriorated to such an extent that many would have celebrated his unfortunate end.
The thought of Drew being permanently out of the picture is quite enticing now, which explains why some fans were disheartened by his survival. Fortunately (for Drew), Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) discovered Drew just in time to dial 911 and rush him to the hospital.
Drew Survived Surgery, But There Is Still A Whodunit Story For His Attempted Murder
Drew successfully underwent surgery, ensuring he will continue to play a significant role in the unfolding events. Naturally, this news is disheartening for those fans who were wishing for Drew’s permanent exit.
The series is still engaged in a mystery plot, but the effect might have been more profound had they actually eliminated Drew for this arc.

On social media, fans have expressed their frustrations about Drew’s continued presence, fearing he will cause even more chaos. Given that many viewers have grown weary of Drew at this point, it’s understandable why some would see his survival as a letdown.
There Are Some Advantages To Drew’s Survival
That being said, there are indeed some advantages to keeping Drew alive; Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) has already experienced the loss of one parent.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) passed away last year, making it particularly heartbreaking for her to potentially lose her father as well – especially so soon after her mother’s tragic demise.
Furthermore, even though Drew has become quite unpopular, he certainly brings some thrilling drama to the table. Many fans remain curious about what will unfold next, despite their grievances regarding Drew, so perhaps keeping him around won’t be such a bad idea after all! General Hospital spoilers indicate that this Drew mystery will introduce more conflict and chaos in the upcoming months, so be sure to stay tuned for updates on all the ups and downs.
