Emilie Kiser Finally Breaks Silence On Son, Trigg’s Death

Social media influencer Emilie Kiser, who recently suffered the tragic loss of her three-year-old son, Trigg, finally broke her silence with a statement on social media. The family, which had been in the public eye due to Trigg’s drowning death and a subsequent lawsuit for privacy, finally shared their grief with the public.
The Statement
Kiser’s statement arrived on Instagram this weekend. It began with the admission that “Loss of this magnitude feels impossible to put into words.” Emilie explained that she had spent days and weeks “trying to find them and also take the time I’ve needed to digest the loss of my baby.”

She went on to describe Trigg as their “baby and our best friend.” Kiser wrote that the light and spirit he brought into the world was “bright, pure, joyful, and undeniable. We miss him every second of every day and continuing forward often feels unbearable.”
The influencer also took accountability, admitting “I know I should have done more to protect him.”
Mentioning The Lack Of A fence
She noted that one of the hardest lessons she carried, was that a “permanent pool fence could have saved his life.” Actually, on TikTok, fans who saw the pool urged her and her husband, Brady to put up a fence.

The death of Trigg was a pain and heartache, she continued, that “no family should ever have to endure.” She hoped that by sharing Trigg’s story, it could “help prevent other children and families from suffering the same loss.”
Thanks To The Family
The statement also gave thanks to her family, who had “quite literally, carried” them through this. She extended her gratitude to her audience for their kind messages and the support they gave during this extremely tough time.
“The only way through grief is to keep going minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day,” Kiser wrote, explaining that she had “done my best to keep picking myself up.”
In her post, she also talked about the boundaries of social media. Kiser explained that when she started on social media in 2021 as a new mom, her “goal was to connect with other moms and find a community.” However, she had now “seen through this tragedy how relationships online lack boundaries, especially in protecting children’s privacy.”
Boundaries For Online Content
In the future, she said that she would be “establishing more boundaries with what I share online.”
Emilie Kiser and her family filed a lawsuit to protect their privacy after Trigg’s death led to more than 100 public records requests. The Arizona Superior Court recently ruled in their favor, allowing two pages to be redacted from a Chandler Police Department report.
The judge’s decision cited that the details were not necessary for public accountability. Actually, many fans supported the family’s right to grieve in private.
Kiser ended her statement by saying she hoped to one day share more about how she was navigating this grief, but for now, she ‘s not quite ready for that.
