Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Marlena Passes Out-Is The Devil Returning To Salem?

Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will pass out in an upcoming episode of the Peacock soap. With Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) sensing a dark presence around Marlena, and Marlena’s nightmares, might this mean the devil is returning to Salem?

Darkness, Darkness, Everywhere

There is darkness, darkness, everywhere in Salem, it’s as if the blackout was not merely a power outage, but a power in itself-Marlena senses the darkness around her.

She recognizes there are spiritual forces behind everything in the natural world-she remembers that very well. The devil comes in like a storm; her nightmares portray Stefano DiMera (Joe Mascolo) as the devil!

Marlena tries not to let the darkness and her fears overwhelm her, but it’s very difficult. She’s already been checked out medically, and she knows she’s not physically ill-and it’s not paranoia or anything mental, she would know if it were!

Marlena Remembers The Last Time The Devil Came To Salem, Although She Doesn’t Want To!

Marlena remembers the last time the devil came to Salem, although she doesn’t want to-she can’t keep the nightmarish memories from haunting her mind.

The devil took the grand tour the last time, starting in Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and ending up in Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) and he nearly killed him! John Black (Drake Hogestyn) wasn’t able to completely exorcise the devil like he did from Marlena the first time, years ago.

It took the spiritual strength of many, including Eric Brady (Greg Vaughn) to finally rid Salem of the devil, and the sacrifice of Tripp! The last thing Marlena, or Salem for that matter, needs now is the return of the devil to Salem, and she doesn’t understand the fear that she feels!

Like A Candle Extinguished, Like All The Oxygen Sucked Out Of The Room

The darkness descends on Salem, like a candle extinguished, like all the oxygen’s been sucked out of the room;  trying to fight the panic she feels, she longs for John’s comforting arms.

 Then suddenly,  Marlena can’t breathe, and she feels like all the oxygen’s being sucked out of her-her heart beats wildly and she sees a dark vision-Stefano coming through the flames! She’s terrified as she sees his eyes-they are the glowing eyes of Lucifer, the terrifying eyes that she remembers only too well and wishes she could forget.

Marlena feels herself becoming unsteady, like she’s being sucked into a vacuum from which she can never escape-she feels like she’s in a hellish vortex! Then everything goes black-and she passes out, will someone find her in time?
