The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Lily’s Feelings for Cane Resurface – Nate Turns Cold Toward Audra

Passions and tensions collide in Genoa City as Lily’s sympathy for Cane stirs up old emotions, while Nate’s view of Audra takes a sharp and unforgiving turn.

The Young and The Restless: Lily Winters (Christel Khalil)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) continues to be drawn into Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) world when she claims to want the opposite. But Lily doesn’t hope that Cane leaves town.

She knows that his relationship with their children is important to him and the twins. So, that needs to be rectified as soon as possible.

Cane knows that he needs Lily’s help. It doesn’t seem like he is exploiting the situation because the Aristotle Dumas persona was unexpectedly exposed by Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Newman Media.

The Twins’ Feelings Must Be Addressed

Lily’s sympathies are with Cane, and she wants to soothe their children’s feelings. Mattie Ashby (last played by Lexi Stevenson) and Charlie Ashby (last played by Noah Alexander Gerry in 2019) are young adults out of college.

The twins aren’t children anymore. The last time viewers saw them with their father, they were. So, it will be interesting to see when or if those characters are written back to the show and if the same actors portray them.

It would be good to see Stevenson and Gerry return, as both were solid actors during their three-year stints. Additionally, the Cane character has been revived as vital. So, recreating his backstory makes sense.

Lily Winters Has A Ways To Go

Lily’s outward view of Cane changes depending on who she’s talking to. She’s critical of him when Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is present. But her brother can see that it’s partially a defense mechanism.

The Young and The Restless: Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic)

Khalil’s character doesn’t want to revisit heartbreak. She loved Cane deeply and was married to him twice. The twins mean that an enduring and unbreakable tie exists with Cane.

Damian Kane’s (Jermaine Rivers) death creates an unusual opening. If he’d lived, Lily was on track to at least be romantically involved with him. It’s no stretch to think they would’ve married, partially in response to Cane’s return.

But with Damian being gone, Cane has a real shot at eventual revival with the woman he never stopped loving.

Nate Hastings Has Nowhere To Go

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) finds himself in a different position than his cousin. Unlike Lily, who may be re-entering a relationship, Nate is headed out of one.

He pressed Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to come clean about her involvement with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and connection to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Yet, she refused to do so and pretended to break from Nate.

Dominic’s character has nowhere to go. He’s certain Audra is withholding the truth and can’t possibly continue to be involved with someone who won’t be honest. Nate will also likely conclude that Audra’s feelings are more centered on Kyle than on him, and that’s an emotional deal-breaker.
