The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Claire’s Second Shocking Surprise Spells Trouble – Kyle Forced to Come Clean

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) never expected her grandfather to apologize. But he did and means it.

Everyone is cautioning Claire. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), in particular, told her to wait for the anticipated second shoe to drop.

Well, Jack might be proven right about a gut-punch coming. But that emotional blow is likely to be delivered by his son and not Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Victor Newman Makes Classic Comparison

Victor has referenced his growing up as an orphan many times through the years. He doesn’t do so lightly or as a distraction. Instead, as viewers know, Victor generally pulls that card when he’s passionate about some topical family issue.

Claire was not put up for adoption as Victor and his brother Matt Miller (Robert Parucha) experienced as young children. Instead, her parents, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and the sadly late Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), were told Eve died at birth.

Eve Nicole was the first and middle name her parents gave her. But Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk), Cole’s deranged aunt, stole that baby from him and Victoria and renamed her Claire Grace. The scheme was part of a revenge plot against Victor because Jordan blamed him for her sister’s (Eve Howard, Margaret Mason) death. Eve was Cole’s mother.

Erin’s character was surprised and overwhelmed when Victor referenced the similarity of their upbringings. He said that they lacked love and reemphasized that he will always protect her. With that, she forgave him.

Kyle Abbott Withholding The Truth

Jack and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) want to support their son, who loves Claire. But that support is conditional because they are encouraging him to tell Claire the truth.

He’s withheld the fact that he kissed Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) in France at Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) estate. Kyle believed Claire wouldn’t understand why he was leading Audra on or appreciate the lengths he was willing to go to trap her.

Kyle’s effort to go after Audra was misguided, and the lies he told Claire may put their relationship in serious jeopardy when she learns the whole story.

Claire Newman Provoked Change

Claire couldn’t stand how obnoxious Audra has been. That woman wants Kyle, and Claire is determined to stop her.

But Claire didn’t anticipate that telling Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) what she knew about Audra’s dirty deal with Victor would result in a second shoe dropping. Rather than Victor betraying the peace they just achieved, the second surprise will have Kyle confess the truth, willingly or through pressure.

Kyle doesn’t love Audra and has been upfront about his feelings for Claire. So, his admission won’t be irredeemable. But it will cause Claire to doubt him and reconsider how serious their relationship is or what its future might be.
