The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Cane’s New Scheme – Aim For All Genoa City Businesses Is Unbelievable

The Young and The Restless: Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) has sparingly shared his plans. Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), who hasn’t been seen in Genoa City, Wisconsin, since all went south in France, was one of the few people who knew what Cane’s grandiose goals were.

He intends to not just obtain Newman Enterprises and its subsidiary, Chancellor, but also to take Jabot. Despite claiming on multiple occasions that he has no interest in Winters Incorporated, Cane also wants that entity.

The still-undefined plot that Cane is hatching has no logical end. His intentions don’t make sense because he has to know that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) would never recouple with him if he seizes her family business.

Will Sharon Newman Lose Crimson Lights?

This subject header is purposely cheeky. It’s intended to highlight the absurdity of the plan he’s claimed to have developed with his supposedly late father, Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers).

So, why not forcibly take control of Crimson Lights and rebrand it?

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), who was held hostage by Cane along with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), could find herself the latest target. That would make as much sense as Cane believing he can force all the major players in this famous Midwestern city out of their family businesses.

Getting Back To Daytime Reality

Sometimes viewers need to step back and assess a developing storyline to determine where it might be headed. They likely don’t see Cane usurping Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Devon Winters (Bryton James), and, most inexplicably, Lily at her family’s business.

The Young and The Restless: Victor Newman (Eric Braeden),

Cane divulging his plan to two loose cannons, which correctly defines Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), doesn’t fit a good business plan. Flynn’s character must have calculated that Billy would relay the Jabot part of the plan to Jack, which happened.

So, Cane’s personal goal is the reductive logical plot point that makes the most sense. Lily just lost Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) after their rushed romance, if it could even be called that. She’s available and could come around in time.

But the whole business tycoon angle needs to be ended or brought to a believable climax. It’s already begun to feel as suffocating as the angle where everyone was trapped on Cane’s estate for many summer weeks.

Lily Winters Has The Power

There is only one person, or maybe three, who can alter Cane’s mind. That person is Lily, and by extension, their twins.

That’s why Victor’s influence may prove useful. He didn’t tell her to stay close to Cane for heartfelt reasons, and she’s not doing so out of compassion for her two-time ex-husband.

Lily can initially fake being interested in Cane, with fans being able to accept that she could fall back in love with him over time. That could happen this fall or winter, with Cane’s monomaniacal efforts being dashed, abandoned, or both by then.

If the above happens, then fans will have seen a love story rather than a storyline that doesn’t have strong legs.
