The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Billy’s Family Loyalty Reinforced – Phyllis Is The Weak Link

The Young and The Restless: Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is playing along with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

However, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) was informed about the plan to consolidate Newman Enterprises, Jabot, Chancellor, and Winters under the Arabesque umbrella. That was corporate speak, as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) would frown upon.

Thankfully, Billy wasn’t being sincere when he was claiming to be on Team Cane. Jack appreciated his brother telling him what the real intention of the invitation to the South of France was. He was also relieved to learn that Billy never considered selling out his family.

Billy wants to prove his mother wrong. So, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) is the person he wants to teach a lesson to, not Jack.

Cane Ashby’s Vulnerability Matters

Cane remains in love with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). She has intentions of working with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to take out her two-time ex-husband.

However, fans suspect that Lily’s love for Cane isn’t over. While she is rightfully outraged at being lured to France under pretenses and is disgusted that his fake vacation resulted in three people’s deaths, Lily was married to this man on two occasions, and they share twins.

Even Devon Winters (Bryton James) pointed out that Cane was willing to trade his life for hers when Carter (Vincent Stalba) was holding her at gunpoint.

Talking against Cane when he’s not present or yelling at him when he is will only go so far. Eventually, Lily’s defenses are primed to break down.

The Young and The Restless: Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)

Phyllis Summers Creates Problems

Phyllis tried to smoke Billy out at Society after seeing him and Jack talking. It didn’t appear that she overheard anything they were saying, but viewers know the topic was Cane’s takeover attempts.

It did seem like Phyllis was freelancing when telling Billy that he was out of Cane’s plan. Billy reacted and told her he was going to see Cane.

It’s hard to know why Cane specifically wants Phyllis and Billy working for him. But neither character knows about his real employee, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens). That indicates that Phyllis and Billy are purely being used and will be discarded, potentially before the takeover attempts are executed.

Billy Abbott Just Wants Respect

Billy wants to make his brother proud. He was hurt by Jill, but still seeks her respect.

Hopefully, Billy and Jack work together to stop Cane from seizing or damaging Jabot. But they may need to fend off a joint effort that includes Victor teaming with Cane to take down Jabot.

Jack proved his commitment to Billy by funding Abbott Communications with relative autonomy. Now that Bergman’s character knows Billy seemingly has clear intel, he wants his younger brother to work against Cane from the inside. If successful, Thompson’s character will earn the family respect he’s been seeking and potentially reclaim Chancellor as well.
