The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Thomas’ Imminent Return To Los Angeles Tied To Liam And Hope’s Drama

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was seen more than a year ago. News of his imminent return in September has significant implications for many characters.

The brief return of Atkinson’s character last July proved to be a plot explanation and update. Thomas announced that he was engaged to Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) and that they were returning to Europe with Douglas Forrester (Henry Samiri), which devastated Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).

Hope’s since moved past her shock, forming an unexpected relationship with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and supporting Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) in what proved to be a terminal illness hoax.

Douglas Forrester’s Pivotal Role

Thomas created the form of a family with Hope. The death of Douglas’ biological mother, many years ago in soap-time, led Thomas to believe that Hope was the perfect woman to become his son’s new mother.

Hope’s bond with Douglas gave Thomas the in he was seeking. But Hope repeatedly deflected Thomas’ overtures even during the period when they were first married in what proved to be a show nuptial.

It will be interesting to see if Douglas again plays a pivotal role, as he did during Atkinson’s initial stint on the show. If so, then Thomas will again have access to Hope. But that assumes his engagement with or marriage to Paris is or will become a secondary consideration, assuming that union still holds or will continue.

Liam Spencer Wants His Family Back

Liam was okay with Hope being with Carter and with Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) being married to John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). Both stances were steeped in Liam’s fatalistic belief that his time on this daytime earth was short.

That viewpoint existed because Paris’ mother, Doctor Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech), played God. She felt compelled to lie to Liam about having brain cancer to extract one million dollars from Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) because her jailed ex-husband’s (Doctor Reese Buckingham, Wayne Brady) bookies were threatening her daughters, Paris and Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes).

Grace’s forced confession likely puts her behind bars and also leaves Liam relieved. Realizing that life persists indefinitely and won’t soon end also means that he can focus on reforming his family with Hope, which means that Carter will have competition if she becomes conflicted.

What And Who Does Hope Logan Want?

Noelle took a few terrific turns in the recent past. Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) Her portrayal of the plastic doll Thomas became obsessed with is unforgettable.

Alternatively, Hope’s decision to allow herself to pursue her mother’s course of action meant that Thomas became the object of her possession. But that ill-fated choice eventually served to alienate him and led to the Paris tie.

Hope has Carter. She may have Liam’s renewed interest shortly and could also have Thomas reconsider as Atkinson rejoins the cast next month.
