But Steffy isn’t Liam’s renewed focus. Hope is the other love of his life that Liam wants back. But his push for family reconciliation isn’t shifting Hope’s perspective yet.
John Finn Finnegan Is The Other Guy
Many viewers appeared relieved when the years-long storyline centering on Clifton’s character veering between Hope and Steffy ended. That happened when the John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) character was created to treat Steffy after her second major motorcycle accident.
Wood offered a memorable reaction shot when Steffy first saw Finn in his doctor’s coat at the foot of her bed. The enhanced response included a stars-in-her-eyes glimpse into the future, with viewers recognizing what was ahead.
Steffy’s fall into love with Finn, their marriage, Hayes Finnegan’s (Bryan David Garlick) birth, Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) shooting, Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) ongoing drama and seeming death cemented one of B&B’s most prominent couples in years.

Theirs is a pairing that could plausibly lead from engagement to a quick marriage. An intriguing switch would have Hope become the focal point of a new triangle, with Liam and Carter vying for her love. Hope’s initial rejection of Liam’s pitch for a reunion was followed by her sharing nostalgic memories. That emotional pull means Liam can’t be discounted by anyone, including Carter.
Taylor Hayes Believes In Logic
Like Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig), Carter believes in logic.
Taylor is convinced that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) has given up on Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) because he’s decided her never-ending drama isn’t worth it. But the fans know that Ridge pledged to make things right with Brooke after he pulled her out of the water in Italy.
She’s apparently not interested in reuniting with Nick Marone (Jack Wagner). Hope told Liam that she’s engaged to Carter. That would seem to mean Taylor and Liam won’t realize the reunions they are seeking with Ridge and Hope, respectively. But those are just two reasons why the fans will keep watching.
