Emilie Kiser Wins Privacy Redaction In Son Trigg’s Death

Emilie Kiser, the TikTok influencer and mom of sweet little Trigg Kiser, has won her appeal to keep certain details about her son’s death private. The news of his passing came in March of this year. Read on for more details about these new developments.
Privacy Redaction Granted
We reported in early June, that Emilie Kiser, in the midst of her grieving, filed a lawsuit to protect their privacy from intense public attention. The death of Trigg was suspected to have happened in the pool at their home when she was away. Her husband, Brady was looking after the child at the time.

The suit that she filed was to try and stop all the details from emerging in the spotlight. This week, E! News reported that “The Arizona Superior Court for Maricopa County ruled in favor of Emilie to redact two pages from a Chandler Police Department report on the fatal incident.”
The judge agreed that, “The transcript on the disputed sections are not necessary for public accountability.”
No Abuse Charges
In mid-July, police investigating Trigg’s death initially believed they had grounds to pursue abuse charges against Emilie’s husband. However, when the case reached prosecutors, they determined insufficient evidence existed to proceed.
While the decision likely brought relief to Trigg’s parents, privacy concerns remained ongoing. So, the latest news about privacy redactions should provide them some comfort.
Fans React
When outlet shared their articles on Instagram, fans of the TikTok influencer quickly voiced their opinions. One commenter wrote, “[NO] ONE needs to know any details on his death. Just because she’s a content creator does NOT give anyone the right to have this information.”
Others agreed, and here are a few more reactions from the discussion area:
- Good. Literally that’s someone’s baby.
- That sweet boy died we don’t need nor deserve details!
- Let them grieve. They lost their beautiful little boy and that’s unimaginably hard enough!!!!
- Good!!!!She shouldn’t even have to have gone this far to get the information sealed.
- Good, as someone who lost her little brother in a similar way, they should be able to keep this private.
- Who would even want to hear about that? Sick people.
Others Wanted Public Accountability
Many people found the news coverage disrespectful. Meanwhile, others argued for public accountability. The controversy stems from Emilie and Brady’s past actions. Previously, they shared their child’s life online for income. But now, they’re requesting privacy after Trigg’s death.
There are good points on both sides. The family has another baby to care for, and they probably deserve space to heal from the tragedy.
