All three CBS soap operas are changing time slots, and fans are not pleased; continue reading to discover when the shows will be broadcast so you won’t miss any of the action.
Beyond The Gates Returned After A One Week Absence
For decades, The Young & The Restless and The Bold & The Beautiful have been the only soap operas on CBS. In February, soap enthusiasts celebrated the debut of a new soap on the network; Beyond The Gates explores the lives of the fictional Dupree family.
What sets this show apart is that most of its cast is Black; fans quickly became invested in the plotlines, which is why they were upset when the soap aired reruns.
This isn’t the first instance of the new soap taking a hiatus-CBS broadcast reruns in the week leading up to the July 4th holiday. Beyond The Gates made its comeback with new episodes on Monday, July 7, but it did not air at its regular time slot in a particular market.
All Of A Certain Market’s Soaps Are Moving Time Slots
The Young & The Restless and The Bold & The Beautiful are two enduring soap operas airing on CBS. Recently, Y&R unveiled the identity of the enigmatic Aristotle Dumas, leaving fans eagerly anticipating what comes next.
At the same time, CBS has shifted B&B to a new studio, a clear sign of their commitment to the show-with a plethora of captivating storylines unfolding, soap enthusiasts tune in daily.
However, some viewers may find it challenging to catch their favorite CBS soaps at the usual times. The entire schedule is being adjusted for those living in the Tampa, Florida area.

The Tampa, Florida Market Is Experiencing Local Programming Shifting Soaps
As reported by The U.S. Sun, the local news and weather show, Tampa Bay Midday, is expanding to a full hour, now scheduled from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Previously, The Young & The Restless was broadcast at 12:30 p.m. during the thirty-minute news segment. This shift to an hour-long news report results in a delay for all three CBS soap operas.
Y&R will now be shown from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and Beyond The Gates will remain in its 2 p.m. slot but will now be succeeded by a half-hour news segment. The Bold & The Beautiful is set to air from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; these changes took effect Monday, July 7.
CBS Fans Livid Over The Shakeup
The schedule adjustment only impacts individuals in the Tampa Bay region of Florida-still, soap enthusiasts were outraged by the change and expressed their frustrations on social media. One fan commented, “That’s so frustrating for Florida residents!”; although the changes only influence a small segment of the viewing audience, many fans worried that the alterations were nationwide.
Regarding the reason behind the change, one fan guessed it was to boost ratings for The Bold & Beautiful. “I think they wanted to attract more viewers for B & B since BTG appears to be popular and it will air right after them now.” Please share in the comments if the CBS soap schedule change affects you; all three CBS soaps can be streamed on Paramount+.
