General Hospital Spoilers: Three Strong Storyline Hints A Sasha Recast Is Coming

General Hospital: Sasha Gilmore

General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Sasha Gilmore departed from Port Charles this week, as Sofia Mattsson’s last episode aired on Friday, July 18. Yet, given three strong hints in the storylines, it seems likely that the soap might be planning a recast.

Number One Reason-Why She Left In The First Place

All signs suggest that Sasha might soon return to Port Charles, especially with the way the storylines are progressing. Here are three clues indicating that the ABC daytime drama is likely to recast Sasha sooner rather than later; here’s the first one. The basis of Sasha’s exit storyline appears to create an opportunity for her quick comeback.

Since it looks like Sofia Mattsson has permanently left the show, a recast will be necessary. Sasha departed after discovering someone was playing a very risky prank involving Daisy Gilmore (Brenden & Evelyn Beimford).

Sasha Was Afraid For Her Baby, And Fled For Their Safety

When the baby went missing from her crib and was later found in her bassinet, the mother was not willing to take any risks regarding her child’s safety.

It’s just a matter of time before Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is exposed, and when that happens, it will pave the way for Sasha and Daisy’s return.

Ultimately, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) quickly noticed Willow’s smile during the July 18 episode, indicating she is aware of Willow and her performance. Sasha was reluctant to depart from Port Charles, so understanding who posed a danger to Daisy would enable her return, allowing Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) to build a relationship with his daughter.

Number Two Reason-The Rivalry Between Willow And Sasha

Sasha and Willow’s conflict was just starting to heat up before she left the scene. Willow is bound to discover the truth about Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) very soon, and her whole life will start to fall apart.

She might even feel remorse for what she did with Daisy and come to understand that Drew was the reason she lost her own children, not Michael’s spitefulness.

Additionally, it seemed like a love triangle was forming between Michael and his baby mamas after his return. So, if Willow finds out the truth about Drew’s deception and Sasha comes back, the drama between these three could be incredible.

General Hospital: Sasha Corbin and Michael Corinthos

Number Three Reason-Sasha And Michael’s Love Story

If Michael discovers what Willow did with Daisy, will he be able to open his heart to her again; she crossed many boundaries while with Drew.

The challenge for GH writers regarding Michael Corinthos is, because he’s related to the Quartermaine, Spencer, and Corinthos families, it’s difficult to pair him with leading ladies. H e has many female relatives on the show.

Michael and Sasha shared genuine chemistry when he returned, and even before Sasha left. It seemed like the characters were heading towards a romantic reunion, so is this due to the show considering a recast that will continue from where Sofia Mattsson left off?

Even Sofia Was Rooting For ‘Misha’

Mattsson recently shared in an interview that she was “rooting” for a romantic reunion between Michael and Sasha, which raises the question: was she suggesting a recast? She knew the powers that be didn’t renew her contract, and she wasn’t coming back.

General Hospital spoilers suggest that although Sasha’s touching reunion with her father, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), was heartfelt, she really belongs in Port Charles and not hiding away in a safe house.

So, does the show intend to bring in a recast? Or like her castmate Josh Kelly, who plays Sasha’s cousin Cody Bell, might she return as recurring?

If Sofia really isn’t coming back, and they do recast, it better be with someone loving, kind and gentle, yet fiercely loyal and protective of the people she loves. And deffinately not like the angry faced shrew they hired to play Lulu. I never liked the charecter but Ireally dispise her now…

Alexa is the best Lulu they’ve had so far. And I liked the others. Go back and watch them and you’ll see that the character hasn’t changed at all. Many people really trashed Emme in the role too. And if the beautiful Alexa Havens is an “angry faced shrew”, then I wanna be one too. Or maybe you’re just jealous or need some good, strong glasses.
