Days Of Our Lives Star Rachel Boyd Talks Sophia’s Evolution – From Scared Teen Mom To Fierce Young Female

Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) gave birth this week to a healthy baby girl; however, as she knows she’s not ready to take on the responsibility of motherhood, Sophia dropped her newborn off at the fire station.

With that said, Rachel Boyd recently spoke to Soap Opera Digest (SOD) regarding Sophia’s evolution, post-baby, and how she won’t quite shake off her ‘momma bear’ title.

Sophia Choi Will Never Be The Same

Boyd hints at a ‘fiercer’ Sophia after she gives birth. The actress acknowledges that Sophia will never be the same, and one factor in all that is the connection she’ll have to her baby girl.

Not only will Sophia’s motherly instincts kick in, but the need to protect her baby will also be unleashed. Boyd states that Sophia will, “… be a bit more mama bear, for lack of a better word.”

Sophia Embraces Her Adulthood

It seems uncertain if Sophia will go back on her decision to give the baby up for adoption. As she gave birth with no adoption couple chosen, Sophia desperately left her baby girl at a fire station.

But at some point, will she return to reclaim her baby? That doesn’t seem to be the case. Boyd implies that Sophia will resort to desperate ensure the outcome she’s been looking forward to comes to fruition.

As she’s 18 now, no one can tell her what to do and how to deal with her pregnancy. As such, the actress also suggests a new, fierce Sofia who will take control over the direction of her life.

The show recently dropped its promo video, and it looks like Sophia is going to tap into her inner Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) by trying to come between Tate Black (Leo Howard) and Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis).

Still, will she be watching over her baby during this time as well? Where will Baby Black land? Only time will tell!
