Comedian Dies After Judge Was Allegedly Distracted by Naked Partner

A story out of Brazil about a young comedian who lost her life seems bizarre. Allegedly, a retired judge, now an attorney, crashed into her when he seemed distracted by his naked companion. Read on to find out more about the details.

A Bizarre Accident

Citing images from Newsflash, The Sun US reported about the loss of life of “Thaís Bonatti, 30.” The outlet reported that the tragic accident happened in Araçatuba. Apparently, the comedian was “cycling” to her place of work at “a restaurant” when she was “struck by Fernando Augusto Fontes Rodrigues Júnior’s” Ford.

It’s the sort of ending that people might say “simply can’t be made up.” Unfortunately, sometimes bizarre things do occur, and it really happened. The former judge was allegedly driving with a “naked woman on his lap.” He’d been at a nightclub before the incident occurred. 

Caught On Camera

This might be a cut and dried case, because, reportedly, the naked person was seen on camera “trying to get off his lap when the vehicle came to a stop near a supermarket.”

Allegedly, the woman who fled the scene was a sex worker. Additionally, signs indicated that the judge had been drinking and might have been under the influence when he hit the comedian.

Granted Bail

The attorney, who can’t say anything because of pending court action, was unable to comment. However, he was granted bail. Considering that someone died because of his alleged actions, he seems to have gotten off lightly. His bail payment was set at approximately USD $7,150.

However, he and his family did issue a statement of remorse and thoughts for the family of Thaís Bonatti. The young comedian, whose career barely began, didn’t die instantly. Rushed to the hospital, medical professionals tried to save her. However, her injuries were very bad. Not only did she suffer a cardiac arrest during treatment, but she eventually succumbed and passed away on the weekend.

Understandably, her brother felt unhappy about the bail, telling TV TEM:

At that time, I was looking for a coffin for my sister. He paid bail and left…He would certainly be sleeping with his family at that time, and I was at the hospital going through the formalities for my sister to be buried.

Distractions Can Be Fatal

It’s all too common that people hear about deaths on the road because of distractions. However, the distraction of a naked sex worker on the lap of the accused lawyer seems to top them all.

Unfortunately, for a while, he might get some celebrity spotlight news, but it took the life of a young woman who will be missed by her family and her fans who loved the comedian who gave them joy and laughter.
