Days of Our Lives spoilers hint fans have been buzzing about Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) since the Monday, June 9 episode. After all, she had an odd moment with legendary character and ISA Director, Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy).

How does Cat know Shane, and what storyline is about to launch? Here’s what we know so far.

A ‘Hello’ Isn’t Just A ‘Hello’

Days of our Lives spoilers remind fans that Cat showed up before John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) funeral was to start on Monday’s show. She walked by Shane and acknowledged him as ‘Director’.

This is weird on so many levels, as prior to this scene, fans naturally assumed that Cat and Shane had never crossed paths. Still, after the June 9 episode, it’s clear that they have.

In addition, the fact that she referred to him as ‘Director’ also indicates that she’s fully aware he leads the ISA. She may only know Shane from that environment. Cat also seemed aloof and annoyed by Shane, so how do these two know each other?

Cat Greene’s Odd Phone Calls

Fans may recall that not too long ago, Cat was receiving phone calls from someone unknown. Whoever was reaching out was pitching some sort of idea that Cat was clearly not interested in.
Could that caller have been Shane from the ISA? Was he reaching out for an ISA mission?

Considering the scam Cat pulled when she pretended to be Abigail DiMera (last played by Marci Miller), she may have impressed Shane with her work. After all, she didn’t only fool Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), Abby’s husband, but also the woman’s father, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), among others.

Cat hates what she did, but Shane may feel as if she could use her sleuthing talents for good, the next time around. Then again, maybe this isn’t her first ISA rodeo, and she’s a past super spy who left the business for one reason or another. Anything is possible in the land of Salem, right?!
