16 and Pregnant Fans Rush To Console Devastated Whitney Purvis

16 and Pregnant alum, Whitney Purvis, just suffered the devastating loss of her son, Weston Gosa Jr. Her stepmom, Amy Gosa, also shared the news via social media. Weston was just 16 years old.

Whitney’s Terrible Loss

The news that Weston passed away arrived on Monday this week. And, it seemed to be a terrible shock to Whitney. She wrote about her feelings on Facebook and clearly, she was deeply traumatized. She didn’t have custody of her boy, but she was obviously very close to him.

The MTV alum wrote:

This is so hard to write. My beautiful son, Weston has passed away. He was only 16 years old. Life is so cruel and unfair. I just don’t understand. Oh my baby is gone and I don’t know what to do with myself. He was so perfect. This is really my worst nightmare come true.

Desperate Pain

Next, writing from the heart, she asked, “How do you go on in life after losing a child?” adding, “I’m in disbelief, this cannot be happening. I don’t want it to be real. I would do anything just to hold him.”

Many people who suffered loss could relate to her saying, “Words just can’t describe the pain I am feeling. I love you so much, Weston Owen Gosa.” After repeatedly talking about the love she felt for her son, Whitney Purvis said, “I just can’t go on without you.”

There is only one word to fit the sudden loss of a loved one, and that is “desolation.” Those who know that kind of pain feel deeply for others. 

MTV Fans Reach Out

Those fans who follow Whitney’s mom heard that Weston had simply gone to sleep and was unresponsive in the morning. Although they called the “EMTs” and tried to do their own first aid, he wasn’t saved. Nobody knows right now what caused his death. She also mentioned that he had some health issues like “diabetes.”

While friends and fans reached out to the family, many of them recognized the deep pain of Whitney. So, some 16 and Pregnant fans tried to console her. One of them said, “So very sorry for your loss. I know what you’re going through. I lost my eldest daughter 1/31/2018. I suggest starting a journal right now while you can still remember things. Write down everything…”

Next, another bereaved fan said, “As a mom of an Angel gone too soon, I am soooo sorry. Please take time to grieve. Cry when you need to. Talk when you need to. Don’t ever let someone tell you later that you should be past all the crying. Only time will lighten your pain.”
