The Young And The Restless’s Cait Fairbanks Talks Being In The Dark About Mariah’s Secret – & Freaking Out!

The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest trouble in paradise where Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) are concerned.

Teriah has been living their happily ever after since they got married in May 2022, and a baby made them officially a family when Aria Porter-Copeland (Millie and Maddie Ingle) was adopted.

This isn’t to say they haven’t faced their fair share of drama, but they’ve dealt with things together.

Cait Fairbanks recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) to talk about her character and the recent issues she’s had to face where her partner, Mariah, is concerned.

Mariah Copeland’s Odd Behavior

Ever since Mariah returned from a business trip last week, she’s been acting odd. While Mariah told her mom, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) she did something she regretted while away, she didn’t tell her what she did, exactly.

Even more interesting is that Tessa has picked up on Mariah’s changed behavior. Fairbanks notes that Tessa, is, “… absolutely freaking out.”

She goes on to state, “Not knowing is almost worse than knowing sometimes, because you just have all the fantasies in your head about what’s going on and the stress of not communicating with your partner and feeling like you’re having a disconnect.”

The actress adds, “I know that with how important the relationship is to Tessa, this is just absolutely killing her.”

Cait also revealed an interesting tidbit: that Camyrn knows the secret Mariah is hiding, so that she can play out her scenes well, while Fairbanks is in the dark, currently (potentially to help her play out her scenes of a frantic wife, as well). While Cait has tried to pry it out of Camryn, she’s yet to spill the beans!

The End of Teriah?

With the idea that Mariah has cheated before, plus the fact that communication is key to both ladies (not to mention sparks between Tessa and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) now that she’s teaching him to play the guitar) – could this secret destroy Teriah?

Fairbanks tells SOD, “It’s so hard, because I’ve seen every other couple on the show go through hard times and then come back together, and it’s even better and even stronger.”
