On The Cusp Of Mother’s Day, General Hospital’s Rena Sofer Serves Up A Delightful ‘Mom Brag’

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Lois Cerullo is one proud momma when it comes to everything Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton) does.

Interestingly enough, so is her portrayer, Rena Sofer! The actress recently hopped on social media to share a bit of a mom brag post about her daughter, Avalon’s, latest accomplishment.

So Very Proud

Sofer posted a photo on Instagram of Avalon, alerting her IG followers to her daughter’s directorial film debut. In the caption, the actress writes, “Look at my big girl directing her first film in college!” Sofer went on to say, “I am so proud of you, Avalon, and can’t wait to see Jane’s Street and all you do in the future!” With that said, Sofer questioned whether or not she’d have to audition for Avalon in the future.

Here’s hoping Avalon will remember the “little people” as she climbs that ladder of success.

Avalon’s Dad Chimed In

In addition, Avalon’s dad, Director/Producer, Sanford Bookstaver, also chimed in, uploading the same photo Rena did, and posting it to his IG handle. In his caption, he writes, “I’m the proudest father in the world! @avaloni3 is directing her first big movie @janesstreetfilm @northwesternu !!! We are fellow directors!!!!”

Avalon has this industry in her genes, with mom’s daytime acting career that includes GH, a role she scored a Daytime Emmy for, as well as being The Bold and the Beautiful’s Quinn Fuller from 2013 to 2022.

Sofer has had appearances in a slew of primetime shows over the years, including Seinfeld, Chicago PD, and Once Upon a Time. She also held a main role on the hit drama Melrose Place, playing Eve Cleary from 1998 to 1999.

Then, there’s her dad, who has directed a number of shows, including some from the Chicago franchise.

Sounds like there’s nowhere else to go but up for Avalon, so on behalf of everyone here, we’d like to congratulate her on her new film and wish her continued success in her career!
