General Hospital spoilers indicate that the truth about Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) is going to be revealed soon, and this revelation could have ramifications for many in Port Charles, particularly his biological parents Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zampronga).

This is bound to affect the Quartermaine family, and would definitely impact Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), Brook Lynn’s father, and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCierco), Dante’s mother.

The fact that this secret was kept by Brook Lynn’s mother and Ned’s ex-wife Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) may put Ned and Olivia at odds.

Lois Cerullo Is Blamed For Keeping The Truth About Gio Palmieri Under Wraps

When the truth about Gio comes out, there is no doubt that many will blame Lois for keeping the truth hidden, and many will shut her out because of it. This could be the start of shifts in dynamics within the Quartermaine family.

Brook Lynn would likely turn her back on her mother as not telling her the truth about Gio is a complete and utter betrayal. Olivia would also turn her back on her best friend, Lois, as she believes that Lois should have told her that Gio was her grandson.

Olivia and Ned Quartermaine Argue About Lois Cerullo’s Role In Keeping The Truth About Gio Palmieri A Secret

Both Ned and Olivia have reason to be angry at Lois for keeping the truth about Gio a secret. Olivia is likely to end her friendship with Lois for good.

Ned, however, may feel sorry for Lois, and offer her support. He knows that Lois did what she did because she thought that she was protecting Brook Lynn, even though he does not think it was right.

After some time, Ned may reach out to Lois, and Olivia would not agree with this. Olivia wouldn’t believe that Lois deserves forgiveness or a pardon for keeping the truth hidden, and Ned would try to get Olivia to see it from Lois’s perspective. This would start to cause a rift between Ned and Olivia.

Olivia and Ned Quartermaine Start to Drift Apart

With Olivia and Lois still at odds, and Ned not agreeing with Olivia’s decision to completely cut Lois out of her life, distance would grow between Olivia and Ned.

They would not be able to reach an agreement, and Olivia would blame Lois for causing problems in her marriage to Ned. Olivia couldn’t see how Ned could possibly forgive Lois for her betrayal and things would continue to be tense between them.

Olivia Quartermaine Decides To Leave Ned Quartermaine

With her and Ned reaching a complete impasse, Olivia would decide that it’s too much, and that she and Ned need some time apart.

Ned would be shocked and devastated that Olivia insists on leaving him over this. Olivia would tell him that he can’t agree with the fact that he forgives Lois, and that her secrets have destroyed all of their lives! Ned would tell her that this is not something that should come between them, but Olivia would tell him that it’s either Lois or her! And she feels that Ned has already made his choice.
