The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease the question, is there a Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) reunion on the horizon? Sharon has been single again for quite a while, having lost her cop husband Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) several years ago.

Rey Rosales Was Chance Chancellor’s Partner

Viewers will remember that Rey was Chance’s partner when he was in the Genoa City police force, and Sharon and Rey went through a tumultuous path to their eventual marriage.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was a huge part of their issues and they broke up several times when they were dating and co-living. But after many obstacles, they finally married, only to have Sharon come down with breast cancer.

She survived and successfully beat it, and barely a year later Rey was killed in a suspicious car crash related to Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). Or so they thought-it turned out Rey had crashed in the midst of an unexpected, but fatal heart attack.

Sharon And Chance Bonded When He Finished Out Rey’s Cases

Sharon and Chance bonded during the time he finished out Rey’s cases and started supporting her emotionally in the midst of her grief. The show’s been hinting at a reunion with Sharon’s first husband Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

However, it might wind up being another ex who she’ll get back together with. It just so happens both Chance and Sharon are single again at the same time, and again he has been helping with cases involving her.

A Very Rough Year

The past year has been challenging for Sharon, but now that her difficulties have subsided, she is eager to return to her regular life and focus on what lies ahead.

Part of that future may involve love; Sharon still has feelings for Nick (Joshua Morrow) and has brought up the possibility of rekindling their relationship. However, Nick has shut down the idea of a Shick reunion, leaving them to remain friends.

With Nick no longer in the picture, it could be the perfect moment for Sharon to rethink a relationship with another former flame, Chance.

Although Sharon and Chance had a brief romance, they parted ways when things started to get serious-Chance then pursued a relationship with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), who had feelings for him.

Chance’s Police Work Tested Summer’s And His Relationship

Chance’s job in law enforcement put a strain on his relationship with Summer. After a short separation, they got back together, but it ended again when Chance discovered that Summer still had feelings for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

Now that Chance is single, Sharon steps in as someone who can help heal his heart; she is the person everyone in Genoa City turns to for support.

Soon, Chance will visit Crimson Lights to talk about his breakup, and Sharon will be there to listen as he shares his feelings about Summer.

Her understanding will be significant for Chance and may rekindle old feelings between them-although Sharon initially thought she wasn’t the best match for Chance, she will reconsider her stance.
