The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Billy’s Strange Alliance Continues – Phyllis’ Connection Is Important

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is conspiring with Aristotle Dumas (no actor known to be cast for this role). Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is leery of the mysterious and unseen character interested in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Viewers are suspending disbelief because an assumed multi-billionaire likely wouldn’t be interested in a Midwestern town, which isn’t New York, New York, Los Angeles, California, or any of the other powerhouse money centers in the United States of America.

Yet, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has occupied GC for four and a half decades in this soapy world.

Billy has a verbal promise that he believes in. Aristotle told him he can have Chancellor back if he aids his cause, which includes getting the Moustache. So, Billy is all about it.

Victor Newman Loves The Dark Side

At this point, the scowl on Victor’s face reaffirms a life lived poorly. The man still seeks petty vengeance rather than sit back and enjoy family riches.

He is working on multiple fronts, hoping to crush Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Billy-boy, as Victor derisively refers to Jack’s younger brother, who is also Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) ex-husband and the father of two of her children, is a secondary target.

Victor doesn’t believe that Aristotle is interested in Abbott Media, which Billy just founded. Instead, he thinks this threat is against Chancellor. By logic, Victor probably also believes that Newman Enterprises might be Aristotle’s actual target.

Billy Abbott Caught In An Endless Loop

Billy is gambling, as Phyllis suspects. He isn’t content to follow through on Jack’s backing and focus on building something new.

Instead, Billy wants to use Abbott Media as a cover to revisit and revive a grudge. He feels Victor influenced Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), which caused her to sell the Chancellor back.

In reality, which Billy has an aversion to, his job performance was abominable, and that’s why Jill deposed him and sold off the company Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) famously headed, and recruited Victor to run in 1980.

Victor’s instinct about Billy is right. He makes ill-conceived decisions and chases windmills rather than what’s practical and good for business.

Phyllis Summers Tries To Distract Herself

Phyllis is still reeling after the kidnapping event. She’s likely suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, which Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) could diagnose and empathize with.

Pursuing Billy’s newest venture is worthwhile because it gives Phyllis something tangible to focus on, look forward to, and also provides Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) with a distraction in this period following Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) gruesome death at the hands of still-alive Ian Ward (Ray Wise).

Billy will likely be more grateful than he anticipates because Phyllis has sharp instincts and wants to protect his interests. Her connection to Abbott Media is essential and projects to helping recognize the challenges Billy’s link to Aristotle will likely cause.
